Comment:
I took a proofs class from him years ago and the amount he demanded was incredible. He's extremely arrogant and will talk down on you. Avoid him. Prof. Bricher is a far superior teacher when it comes to student learning; he won't make you feel horrible about yourself like Dunn will.

He made me feel very intimidated both in class and during office hours. He expects you to work a lot outside of class and acts as if you have no other class. Also, expects you to know many things that you may or may not have been taught before. His lectures are very heavy and like the assignments we are given.

Comment:
Chuck expects that students are self motivated and can work through difficult problems. They should have questions ready if they are going to go to his office hours, and should have previously attempted the problems. In class he is very clear, using the DEF, THM, PROOF outline, not to say that he doesn't motivate ideas well.

Comment:
Dunn gives extremely difficult exams because of the large amount of material you are expected to complete within a very shot time period. Otherwise, you will learn a lot from him if you make sure to ask questions during class and office hours. Some material not covered during class.

Comment:
Very unhelpful, no idea why he is teaching a writing class. DO NOT take his 'math as metaphor' class, the subject sounds really interesting but Chuck Dunn has no idea what hes doing. Doesnt lead class discussions, assigns essays/papers like hes your only class, overly biased, condescending. Walked out of class in a huff when enough people didnt read

Took Calculus 1 with Dunn this year. Planning on taking Calc 2 with him. Definitely can understand why he seems intimidating, but if you ask GENUINE questions he is more than helpful. Very friendly with his students and is willing to compromise. Expect a challenge though, as he expects consistent quality from his students. Awesome professor.

I dislike the professor, a lot. I do not know him personally, but as a teacher, he was not helpful. I found myself asking for help from other professors and students. When I'd as for help, he would scoff, as if I were wasting his time. I lost a lot of confidence because of him.

He expects you to know material you haven't been taught. He also believes that you are only taking his class and NOTHING ELSE (and assigns homework in that matter). Avoid him.

I took Calc I and II with Dunn. He is passionate about math and it shows. Dunn is more than willing to help students during office hours, but I always felt intimated when I went.He doesn't give reviews or study guides and his tests can be difficult. He's a good professor but students should be prepared to work hard if math doesn't come easy to them

One of the most helpful proffesors I've had so far. He made learning about difficult concepts such as infinity, fun. Most of the things we were learning about had no definite answer, but it was a great class.

Worked really hard to help us understand. Our class was a total pain to him and it got to him a little bit - but I think he really cared about us understanding. Make sure to turn in your homework on time.

Take graph theory if it's offered. I've heard he's a flawed teacher in lower classes, but he did a quality job when it was his favorite field.
