Comment:

If your bad at math don't take him. He is very kind and nice, but is not understanding and that shows in how tough he grades. Jumps all around when teaching and does not go by the book. He's there for office hours, but he wouldn't have to be if he was more clear and graded fairly. Switch out in the first week while you can.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. He means well but he can not teach, ESPECIALLY if you are bad at math. Avoid if possible.

Some people dont like how he teaches but impossible but I liked his class. I was a little tough but if you pay attention and ask for help, he is willing to meet whenever he is available. I feel like as long as he sees you trying, he will try his best to pass you. Plus, he is my advisor and he really helps wit not only classes now but future options

Dr. Schwartz is possibly one of the worst professors I have ever taken anywhere! If you don't do the math problems his way (Even though there are many ways to do the problem) then you'll get the problem wrong. Homework is due every Tuesday and is graded for accuracy on a few problems he picks on random. Mortal of the story do NOT take his class.

Let me start with telling you that math has ALWAYS been my best subject in high school. While applying to colleges, all of my recommendations were written my math teachers. I have never received below an A- in any math class in my life. Dr. Schwartz made math impossible. My grade was a C- and I tried REALLY HARD. DONT TAKE HIM. I SHOULDVE DROPPED.

He is the type of professor that knows a lot so he assumes you know everything as well. You need to attend his lectures but even if you do you still need tutoring, but even then tutors don't know how to figure out some of the problems he gives. His homework is ridiculous and isn't worth your time. Basically avoid taking his class.

He is probably the worst professor I've had at this school. He is not clear at all when teaching. He will not give any form of extra credit although my entire class really needed it. His tests are hard, but not terrible. However, he does not clearly go over the material on it. Avoid taking this class.

He's a very, very nice man. However, he definitely makes up everything he teaches. There's no textbook so you're pretty much screwed if you don't understand what you're learning- the help sessions aren't helpful at all. He has his moments when he can be rude when he's trying to be funny and it gets really awkward. Just, don't take him.

I laugh at all the good reviews, lying about him. Ha! Don't take Charles, unless you are okay in math but not even my friend was good and she failed this class. Waste of time, he can't teach for his life I will admit he is a nice man just horrible Professor.

Professor Schwartz is the worst teacher I have ever come across. Nice man can't teach to save his life. No extra credit, go to office hours to review for a test he'll spend an hour going over a concept not even on the test or quiz. Ask him if you should drop the course he will tell you no you are currently passing and still fail you! just Terrible

He is sweet and funny. He seems like he jumps around but if you pay attention and copy all his notes then you should be fine. If you talk to him during office hours that can come in handy. he also allows a chance for extra credit. Just make sure you do the math the way he teaches you

Dr. Schwartz is a nice man who takes the time to help his students. You have to work hard in this class it is not easy. He is very smart and is willing to answer all questions. He is very funny to watch in class. If you want to learn math take him if you want an easy A stay away.

This class is hard if you are not very good at math. The professor doesn't understand how to answer student questions and therefore is not very helpful. Only had three exams and they did not reflect the lectures very well.

Dr Schwartz is by far my favorite professor. He offers help with his hours and review sessions. Take advantage nobody should fail. He is very smart and its hard to understand him because he is so smart. He is kind and understanding. He does odd things but he is funny. He has an odd sense of humor. At first you will hate him then you will love him

Super easy, barely had to pay attention. He is always willing to meet those who need help. He can get too carried away and say things that you can't use specifically for the course, but can be interesting. The lesson you have to teach as the final on a discrete concept was bs though.

easy A for algebra and trig, but I failed calc (had him both classes) He's the nicest guy in the world who goes out of his way to help his students as long as they go to visit him in his office. I think it was the textbook he used this semester that was extremely unhelpful and waste of money. overall, really nice guy and would take again
