Cher is crazy and annoying. Easy class, take notes and you'll do great. Its very straight forward and she wants her students to excel. None the less I do not like her as a person. You might think she's funny though.

Comment:
I'm not surprised Cher is rated highly -- she is easy, funny, and makes you do stupid projects instead of teaching. She doesn't teach art chronologically which makes it confusing. If you want to learn about art history, DO NOT take this class. It's tailored to kids who don't really care about subjects outside of their major. The class is a waste.

If you are willing to do your part, with Knight, you'll learn so much about art, enjoy it and get a good grade. She is very clear and thorough about grading, material and rules. You could manage without the text book. She has a contagious positive energy. Her passion makes you give a damn. She is respectful, knowledgeable, and funny.

Cher is literally my favorite professor of all time, everything about this class was great. The readings are all super interesting, Cher herself is super interesting, and honestly, the tests were easy too. Shes only really anal about attendance and cellphones, aside from that, its a great class

Literally Cher is one of the best teachers that I have ever had throughout my entire life. Her passion for the subject is what inspired me to minor in art history! She brings a very fresh perspective to every conversation and is absolutely hilarious. Honestly it has been an honor to be in her class - if you have the option to, take this course!

Cher is cool as hell, and this class was easily the best one I took this semester. It's 1:45 long, but there's a great mix of lecturing and activities, with lots of participation. BTW: If you get above a 90 on the two quizzes and the midterm, you can be EXEMPT from the final! (But she doesn't tell you this until after the second quiz... sshhh...)

Cher is intelligent and enthusiastic towards the material. Lectures are very interactive and great conversations come out of pieces of art and movements. I highly recommend taking her class! (I'm taking 2 of them next semester) Her exams require a lot of studying, but otherwise, there is a good chunk of reading and participation.

Cher's art classes are challenging but never dull. She doesn't skip a moment in lecture and her classes are very encouraging and hands on. The material is sometimes difficult but Cher makes it engaging and is always enthusiastic about helping students understand. The one downside is a strict absence policy. But if you can, take her class.

Cher is miraculous. Possibly the best teacher/class I've had at Emerson. She runs an extremely interesting, easy to follow class. Never boring and taught our class so much through the semester. Assignments were easy to understand and schedule without getting overworked. Taking a class with her is a must.

This is an art History class which turned out to be the best class i've taken so far at Emerson. Everything I learned I've been able to apply to other VM classes. Cher is entertaining, there is never a dull moment. There are a lot of walking field trips. She really prepares you for the tests and quizzes. Little work load mainly class discussions.

Cher was incredibly engaging, able to create some fascinating discussions out of the little things. I learned a lot, and wasn't expecting to. But she's kind of a crazy person. Completely awkward about the syllabus, discussions, and feedback on work. But still, totally fun and worth taking!

I LOVE CHER! She's a pleasure to look at, and definitely a pleasure to listen to. I walked into her class with absolutely no interest and walked out highly enthused. She is an excellent professor. Her class requires work (only in memorization for tests) and project (you don't need to read). She is crystal clear and will tell you exactly what toknow

I had Cher for Intro to Visual Arts as well as her Modern Art course-and I'd take any class she teaches in the future. She's a pro--smart & amazing. Class is fun...lots of slides and discussion. She touches on a lot of interesting contemporary issues with public art. Come to class, pay attention, memorize and you'll nail the midterm/final.

Really good teacher, very outgoing, fun, exciting, and funny. She used a slide show to display different art and would talk about them each individually, VERY knowledgeable. Field trips were FANTASTIC!!! My only complaint is a RIDICULOUS stress on participation in class discussion. If youre a shy guy or a reflective learner youre basically screwed
