Judge Smith is a very good professor. His knowledge of the law is captivating, which makes it very easy to listen to his lectures. Notes are very important as they make up the midterm and final. Easy quizzes at beginning of most classes. He is an extremely nice guy, likes to tell stories. Plays close attention to detail. You will learn a lot!

Excellent professor. Every lecture is interesting. Take very good notes because the midterm and final are solely based on your notes. I'm taking his course on Criminal Law and Procedure next semester (that's how good he was).

Intro to Paralegal can be tough, the Judge does not use study guides for midterm or final so you really just have to remember everything you learned. He does give extra credit work, I recommend you do all extra credit so you can bump your midterm and final grade up. He is a good instructor and teaches well. Very laid back and easy going. Judge Smith is the one of the best teachers I have had so far in college!! He is funny, he is nice, he cares about his students, and he is really helpful (plus, I actually learned something new every week). I really enjoyed this class and his teaching style. I am definitely taking his criminal law and procedure class next semester and can't wait!

Ridiculously easy. Simply pay attention, especially to his examples. Other than that, he tells fascinating stories and is a man whom is interested in sports. All American, loves Harley Davidson and very passionate about what he does. A (GREAT) teacher! If you have trouble reading, I don't rec. this class. ;)

Absolutely a joy of a teacher. TAKE HIM hes totally AWESOME. I had little interest in Paralegal Studies prior to enrolling in his class, but after i'm done i have to say he has got me interested. Taking him for criminal law next semester FOR SURE. Very smart and kind, actually TEACHES you the material and makes you remember it. Time FLEW by.

Professor is a strait shooter. Grading policy is firm, yet fair. Expectations are reasonable. Relevant discussion: this prof. stays on task with the highest level of professionalism I've seen on a community college campus. Professor engaged the class, but was sensitive to all cases regardless of students' intelligence. Very open for a formalist!
