Comment:

Professor White cares a lot about the material and his students, which translates into his lectures. He is very engaging and passionate. He is also understanding if you have any special circumstances. his tests aren't bad but the quizzes can be challenging. If you participate this should make up for any bad quiz grades, and he drops 1 quiz grade.

Comment:

One of the best professors in the department. Difficult subject matter, but he always does a great job explaining it. Hes clearly very intelligent and has a passion for what hes teaching. Highly recommend!

Comment:

Professor White is the best at URI. He cares so much about his students and is very accommodating if anything comes up. Some of the material is hard to understand when reading at home, but it is clear when he explains during class. Exams are easy to prepare for, never any surprises. If you work hard he'll go the extra mile to make sure you do well.

Great professor and cares a lot about both the material and his students. He has almost 30 years of teaching experience and it shows. Definitely take a class with him if you're doing the major or minor. If you read and come to class you can do well and he is understanding when things come up.

Professor White is amazing! The man is incredibly intelligent and deeply invested in students' learning. If you are a Spanish majorminor you MUST take a class with Prof. White before graduating. In the top 3 for professors I've had at URI.

Great teacher. Take really good notes, the exam comes from what he says in class. He is interesting and fun. He speaks the spanish that you will need in America, that is the common people's spanish. So if you want to be fluent, he is a good teacher to learn from.

I also took SPA 306 with professor White, he is very knowledgeable about the material. Make sure you always read the material and most importantly understand it, so you can participate in class discussions. Participate as much as you can, since it will help you in the long run, even if you only ask a question.

Probably the best professor I've had so far. He's not really easy but makes learning the material interesting and fun. I actually look forward to going to class. Not to mention that he has a great sense of humor. He doesn't take attendance but it's best to attend every single class since his tests contain much of the material covered in class.

Seriously the nicest professor around, doesn't ever take attendance. Really funny guy, and if you take the upper level Spanish stuff, you really don't have to read the books, and you can't get away with being really vague on the exams. Awesome guy.
