My physiology class was supposed to be for the people who have failed anatomy or hadnt taken the class yet (so it was supposed to be easier). He used the exact exams with us as his advanced class. When lecturing he would skip to pictures and use his laser pointer as he spoke about functions. Good luck passing unless you have old exams.

Let me clarify: Dr. Utt is a great person! But my experience in Advanced Physiology was not the best. He has switched textbooks since I had him, and I have heard it is easier now. The key with Dr. Utt is to take very good notes for essay questions and read your textbook for multiple choice. His tests are hard! Consider whether you want advanced.

This class was awful. He hated our text book and our tests made me cry.. literally. No one in our class made above a C... most people failed. It was seriously the worst class I've ever taken. He refused to give a study guide but was minimally helpful if you went by his office. Long story short... never again.

Awful class. You cannot comprehend what is going on during the lectures because he talks so fast and doesn't make sense. He makes fun of students who ask questions in class. The only way to get a good grade in the class is study old tests.

Ridicules students in class. Often annoyed when asked a question. Refuses to make any clear goals for students. Teaching consists of running through powerpoints filled with jargon and dumping unlabeled animal bric-a-brac on a table saying "know everything about this". Students with old tests have unfair advantage. Worst class I've ever taken.

he is uninterested in the class, and seems to talk down to students. Is not very helpful outside the class. The ONLY way to pass the class is to study old tests, if you don't come across any, then drop the course because you will fail!
