He is a great professor, a little egotistical which is fun to watch. very educational dont think that you dont need to study that much for his classes. the tests are challenging and will make or brake your grade. you need to take lots of notes and read the book and memorize every work of art he shows you.

he is so funny and a great guy once you get to know him. his art history classes don't seem too bad until you take the first test from him. MEMORIZATION is key. and take lots of notes in class. write down everything! hes my teacher and advisor and we'll sit and laugh for an hour. fun guy but challenging class so study!

I LOVE Dr. Rhodes. He's a little weird when you first meet him, but his classes are AMAZING. I'm not an Art major at all, and I just took his classes for fun, and I've learned SO MUCH. He repeats the important stuff, and he relates things to stuff we can understand as students. He makes jokes constantly, and sometimes uncouth, they're hysterical!

His class was easily my favorite class so far. He is extremely knowledgeable, funny, and interesting. His class was never boring. He says that he hates everyone and may seem like he is planning to take over the world, but he is actually I very nice guy...so dont let him fool you.

brilliant man, amazing lecturer, i learned more from him than any other academic class i took. i also have to point out he has amazing taste in clothes (versace anyone?) also, he sometimes references pop culture to explain theories..a plus in my book. great sense of humor. loved his classes. quality-wise, a step above almost every teacher here.

An amazing person. well rounded. has extensive knowledge of art, and areas in which he is lecturing since hes been almost everywhere in the world. Very straight forward.. doesn't put up with stupidity, unlike most proff. at FSU.

You'll either love and adore Rhodes, or hate and despise him. The class involves mostly memorization. He's very quirky, and intimidating if you let him be. You'll say some things that could be deemed extremely rude, but he's not out to get you. If you like Art History, you'll do fine. If not, well, good luck, it'll be hard for you.

Art History used to make me want to cry. I never thought it could be interesting! I actually wanted to go to class and enjoyed his lectures! He goes off on wild tangents and makes every class interesting. The tests require you to take good notes and STUDY. If you ask him for help, he's MORE than happy to oblige.

Quarky little man, STUDY (mostly memorization)! Tests are harder than papers, so compensate. You'll either love him or not so much...he can be animated in class but mostly long uninvolved lectures, Narcissistic, but also very honest, makes himself out to be uncompassionate towards his students, but if you ask you shall recieve.

He's so hilarious! He tells really funny stories, and even his nasal voice makes him more amusing. He is a hard grader, but once you understand how to take his tests, if you study hard you'll do ok. He actually made art history interesting too, I was impressed.

Where to begin! I hold the deepest respect and admiration for this man. He has great intellegence, and he has the most amusing stories. Just show up for class, and REALLY study for his tests and you'll do fine. He really knows what he's talking about, and has the oddest sense of humor. But I'll be damned if i'm not going to miss the little guy!

what is more entertaining than a man of such small stature and big personality, flailing his little arms around. To say the least the man is brilliant and he knows what he is talking about. More students should get his advice on their work, he can give you an honest critical analysis on your work.
