Kind of a weird guy, still not sure what I really think of him. there were some interesting things in his class but like a friend of mine said, he is good at saying nothing, you sit there and listen, and your like "wow he is just saying a lot of nothing right now"

Comment:

Stockstill is a good guy. He wants everyone to pass, but he definitely can be difficult at times. Textbook is irrelevant, but is occasionally uses it for test questions or homework. Show up and laugh at his jokes and you'll be good

Stock is a good teacher. I spent a lot of time studying for a class that is required and basically an elective. The course speed and materiAL COULD BE IMPROVED AND built upon. Not a bad teacher, a LOT OF STUDY FOR A CLASS THATgets overlooked on admissions to Med school and engineering schools. Takes a care and concer for students of all backgrounds

Honestly, Dr. Stockstill is the only professor in Harding's Bible department that I absolutely will not recommend to anyone. His class is chock-full of off-topic busywork assignments. He will often get aggressive with us over our test grades or assignments turned in. He takes himself too seriously. Avoid at all costs.

VERY, VERY, RUDE MAN! Despite his credentials it does nothing to enhance his charms, and be prepared to always be taught that you are wrong and he is infallible. Stockstill has a god complex, maybe he wasn't loved enough as a child or maybe nobody wanted to play w/ him on the playground but whatever the reason... AVOID at all COSTS

The rudest and most condescending man I have ever met. I only asked him a question once and he got really snappy and rude with his answer. I went by his office once for help with something and he treated me like the most insignificant person he talked to that day. He does not represent the Christ I know. Avoid him like the plague.

THE WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! If you want to learn and enjoy what you are learning, please do not take him. The work is ridiculous and what he requires you to do is just a crazy amount of busy work. Nice guy though.

NOT an easy class, but worth it if you want to actually learn the material. He kept me awake and interested for almost every class and is completely willing to work with students. He gave bonus points if you met with him for a "ten min. meeting" for fun! He really knows his material and is very sweet and likeable. But definitely not the easiest.

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT professor - unless you're a bible major, do NOT attempt his classes. Very boring. Nearly impossible to get a decent grade on his exams, 1-2 in-class quizzes each week, and lengthy, tedious HW due weekly. Heckler about absences and not flexible for make-ups. On the other hand - he's a very nice guy outside of class.

Doc Stock is the best bible teacher on campus! His personality and knowledge are not easily matched. This class required minimal studying and his his weekly quizzes are not difficult. Be sure to print out the resources that he has on his website you or you will fall behind and and your grade will suffer. All should take Doc Stock at least once!

I took his honors Life of Jesus freshman class. Tests are pretty simple, as long as you review your notes. As a teacher, he is all over the place and isn't very organized in his thoughts. Very dry personality. Didn't make me interested in what we were learning at all. I dreaded going to his class everyday...fell asleep a few times

Doc Stock is the man. I shall hear nothing else but this irrefutable truth. Not only did I learn in this class but was driven to further in depth study. While he is not always the most comprehensible speaker, if you are trying to learn then there should be no problem. End.

I loved this class. I never wanted to skip it because I learned so much. I felt like I was hearing things that I had never heard before, which was refreshing because in high school I felt under-challenged by Bible class. He is a very nice man and understanding. I loved that he split up into scholars groups. I got to know my group and loved them.
