Easy A. just attend class, make notes, seem interested. not a very intellectual class. but the proff is very nice if u JUST attend the class and take copious notes. for those needing an easy A or a filler course: look no further

Really disrespectful. He pulls the transcripts of every student and uses all past grades to judge you and uses that from day 1 to determine how he will grade you. Very hard to understand and he gets very mad when you are lost/confused and ask questions. You can get through the course but you won't learn a thing. A complete waste of time and $$$.

Comment:

He gets kind of a bad rep and has an accent but his annunciation makes it very understandable. Kinda cool knows many languages. However does not seem to understand questions sometimes and goes straight into an answer without thinking about what was actually asked. NEVER miss a class and pickup your tests otherwise he will pick you out.

Disrespectful and arrogant. Accused me of cheating by blatantly writing on my test "Who did you copy from?" and "Do you want to face the honor code commitee?" No reason for that if he took 5 mins to look at the test or ask me about it. I would avoid him at all costs.

Interesting guy. Involved in early days of computing, speaks multiple languages. Grew up in former Soviet Union. Test are open book/open materials. Do the HW, come to class and you will do fine. Remembers who you are and will e-mail you or embarrass you in class if you are absent lots or missing homework. Not mean -- is just"tough love" type.

This guy combines rudeness with ignorance, a deadly combination, if you're rude, at least know what you're talking about. He advices people to change their major if he doesn't like them. And as previous posters mentioned, he'd categorize you from day 1, you either a good student, or a bad one. This prof symbolizes everything wrong with Mason.

Not clear. I asked him why I only got B, told me I got F on final and I really deserve C instead of B. Very discouraging and rude. I asked him if I can go take a look at the exam to see what I did to get F. He replied he won't be back until next semester. (it was just 2 days after the exam!) Too bad he is the only teacher teaching this course.

Awful, he likes to pick students and categorize them into the good and the dirt. He would go very far to let you know that he thinks you're dirt. It really feels like he gives out grades randomly. He is not a good teacher at all, he might be at Mason just for the money and prestige,lor maybe Mason can't fire him because he's been there forever.

Dr Tabak is an incredibly mean teacher. He is very cruel and loves to hate students. He frequently send awfully mean emails to students to discourage them, or making them drop the class. He would advise you to change your major!!!! He cannot teach, but expect a lot from the students. A good thing his exams are almost the same every year. Avoid him!

A shame to ECE @ GMU. He decides who isn't worthy of his teaching, by looking at transcripts online. Then he'd be so mean, cruel, unwilling to help, to the ones he decided he didn't like. He enjoys cruelty and discouraging students. Such a person shouldn't choose to be a teacher. He is very rude and his teaching skills are terrible.

Although this teacher is very nice and very willing to help, he is not a good teacher. I learned almost nothing in this class, and had the added stress of not knowing what he was going to put on the final and midterm. Do not take unless it is a requirement.
