Whatever you do, don't take this prof. I registered late and got stuck with him, and is by far one of the worst professors I've ever had. He makes you use a weird coding website and don't explain things to where you'll be able to understand the content of the course. If you want to pass this class, DO NOT take it with this professor.

This professor did not have accessible office hours and does not know how to answer questions. His homework and lectures never seem prepared for class, as he relies on students to tell him what the homework was and what the answers are a lot of the time. Tests are nothing like the homework assignments. Very frustrating class

The profesor does not actually teach. This may be easy for recent math students but I havent taken math in a long time and he just kept repeating this should be familiar instead of explaining it. He said material would be on the tests not in lecture or homework making it very hard. When asked questions, he responded we went over it in class

He is a good man and for sure very smart. His STA 215 class was SOO dry. His way of "teaching" is extremely dull and non inclusive of the student body. There are homework assignments every week and he grades them very easily. His exams screw everyone over because they are absolutely nothing like the homework from the book. Awful exam DO NOT TAKE

Great professor who wants student to succeed, easily presents material. Is easy grading homework and curves exams if students do no do as good as he hoped. Very reasonable person, looks to teach and challenge students and is great at responding to emails and being available to help. I would love to take another class with him.

Such a nice guy but not the best professor. He tries his best but your best bet is to just teach yourself with the book which lays things out pretty simply. Only grades are the 3 exams and homework, which you get most the points on if you simply do it. You get cheat sheets for the exams.

This professor has no idea how to be a professor. I felt like I could stay home from class and sleep and it would be more productive than going to his class. He's a nice guy but if you haven't already mastered stats I would not take his course.

Class wasnt too hard all. As long as you keep up on the homeowrk and ask questions in class, youll do fine. I thought he was a really good professor.

If you have no prior knowledge to statistics, do NOT take this professor. The only reason I got an A is because I technically took stats before. Avoid at all costs.

Really nice guy, but not the most helpful professor out there. The textbook is extremely confusing and doesn't always follow his notes/lectures, so sometimes you end up leaving class more confused than you were before. Shares anecdotes but not enough example homework problems. Homework assignments are pretty easy but beware of the online quizzes.

Really nice guy, with some really frustrating "teaching" methods. I've never had a prof that literally answered a question with "I don't know" and left it at that. He doesn't teach anything, just talks about some robots he built for work. You have to read for hours and learn how to use R commander on your own to do the simplest homework problem.

Awful teacher, he didn't prepare anything to discuss for class (he told us so), tests were on stuff we hadn't learned. He has to curve everything so much that everyone will pass.

Not a good proff. learned nothing. easy though, kinda. grades the homework on correctness. you only use the book for homework problems, so i shared with my neighbor. like everyone has to take stats 215 so i'm sure someone has the book. dumb prof. i feel more dumb now that i took it with him. weird sense of humor. easy to change hw grades

Nice guy but horrible teacher. After every class I felt like I knew less then the day before. Dont bother taking notes because he copies it from the book and the book makes no sense. Just show up to class so he thinks you trying and you should pass with the curve.

Nice guy. Bad teacher. After each class, I have this sinking feeling that I've just fallen further behind. I pay attention, but nothing sticks. Every example is a special circumstance. Every concept is independent of everything else. He never lays a foundation for learning. When he asks questions in class, you could hear a pin drop.

Class was soooo boring. Very easy class. 4 homeswork assignments 3 exams 1 paper and a presentation. Nice guy, but not a great prof. I Hated statistics and still do but if you just want to get through the class without learning much then take this guy. If you are a stats junkie then avoid. He won't let you fail. Nice guy.

Zeitler was not the greatest professor I've ever had at GVSU. He teaches Sta215 as if it were an statistical engineering class, and he expects his students to already know and love statistics. He's very boring as well. He curves tests though. Do the homework, but you don't have to go to class (you'll learn more if you don't).

He's a nice guy, although his jokes aren't that funny. He teaches like everyone knows what each statistical symbol is, which isn't that bad, but confusing at first. He offers extra credit and curves your grade a lot. The exams weren't too bad and he allows a cheat sheet. If you are just trying to get through this class, take it with him.

His lectures consisted of him reading off the power point slides that came with the book. The book is laid out in a very confusing manner, so is of little help to attempt to learn the material on your own. He does very few examples and most are just copied out of the book. You will not be prepared for the exams but they are curved significantly.
