Comment:

Passionate about her subject, funny, kinda cheesy but very sweet. You can miss a few classes, but try not to, esp. if you're an English major very lecture-heavy course. Interesting readings, theory-heavy. You WILL have to read to pass. Very understanding of student difficulties, just contact her and she'll work with you.

Theres nothing negative to say about Dr. C! She is so helpful, clear and fun to be in class with. I did not think I would enjoy Chinese Literature as much as I did. If you have an opportunity to take a class with her I highly suggest it! Come to class, take notes and you will do great.

This is the kind of class you do not want to skip often. Long lectures with extensive notes, which are extremely helpful. The homework and classwork is a lot easier compared to the exams. Make sure you take a ton of notes and study before each exam.

Comment:

Dr. Cavender is a phenomenal teacher. She gives you every opportunity to succeed with plenty of extra credit on tests and out of the one essay of the whole semester she lets you do a rewrite. She is enthusiastic about her work and on tests and homework (which you never actually have to do) she is clear and never leaves anyone guessing. LOVE HER!

Anne was my favorite professor freshman year. She's very passionate in what she does and expects a lot from you. She conducts an awesome class and made it enjoyable to learn and participate in class. She is one of the most intelligent professors i've had. She is a hard grader but VERY helpful and understanding.

Shes really entertaining and motivating. Little homework not that big of deal and one essay that you revise for points. NO tests but spelling from certain poems. Big on chinese culture and loves you to speak your mind and challenger her. Bad part little points one essay and participation make up entire grade shes a very hard grader as well.

this class is very interesting, and actually focuses on chinese literature. She is very helpful, and will shock you with her knowledge of Chinese. Both the language, and the history!
