Great professor and extremely nice and hepful.He would always stay after class for anyone who didnt undersand or needed help with the lessons. He's very passionate about his music and his clarinet. definetly take!

I absolutely love this professor. Very nice, helpful, and passionate about music. I have no musical ability whatsoever and he really made his lessons simple to learn. He also stayed after class every week for those who needed help. MSU needs more professors like him. Would totally take again if I ever had the chance!

Horrible professor. maybe if you are a music major you will like him. i was the only one that participated in his class of 100 students and got a B. rest of class must have failed. if you work nights and weekends you will have to take off to do 4 reviews. and there is no automatic A. you have to study midterm and final are hard

Boring class but easy. listen to youtube videos and remember simple historical facts. He wants 4 music reiews witch are annooying to go to but u get an automatic A if u hand them in. passes around attendance so have someone sign u in if u dont go. Midterm, final are somewhat easy. I showed up did reviews and did ok on test, got a B+. No book needed

Blasts classical music every class about 20x each lecture. Nice guy, enthusiastic about music. Only has midterm, final, and four music reviews. Have to attend 4 music events. No text book. Boring but easy. Allowed 2 absences, but impossible to fail.

His class is pretty easy. But, its all classical music, which gets really annoying sometimes. Also he makes you go to events and then tells you he doesn't think you really went to them unless you give very specific examples. There is a midterm and final. no other tests besides those. they weren't hard, as long as you go to class and pay attention

Professor Singer is a really nice guy....class is extremely easy as long as you show up...no need to buy the book either because he goes over everything in class. Both the midterm and final were very easy and both counted 2 grades. He's very boring...but a sweetheart. This class is definitely an easy A.

Bad.He thinks all his students are idiots unless you know how to read music.He has a midterm which he counts as two grades.Same goes for the final.Mandatory attendance.He will not respond to emails.Not an easy class.If you can take something else then do it.Also he blasts annoying classical music about 6x a class don't take him he is out of touch.

Very good professor, knows his stuff. He loves what he does and it shows. He teaches the material based on the thinking that the students really don't know anything. Everything he teaches in class he puts on the tests. Nice guy, you can't go wrong.
