Dr. Ward is a really good physiology professor. He will get you ready for the nursing program. He will also answer any of your questions if you have any. Make sure you pay attention in his class and don't skip class. Don' t just study the review packets because what he teaches will test your knowledge in the nursing program!

Dr. Ward cares! He is amazing at teaching physiology. Not only on the testing aspect but the teaching aspect. If a subject is presented he covers all ground, leaving no room for questioning. If a student has a question then his answer is great. He follows those who question and supports them. But don'the take him for a fool!

Loved this class but it is really hard. You have to be on top of your reading otherwise you will not get a good grade. He is very test heavy so be prepared. If you are a nursing major this might not be the teacher for you.

This class was really hard. I took it in the fall of 2018. Test are extremely hard. You have so much materials you have to read. If you took Organic Chemistry you will be fine. However, be prepared. If you are a nursing major good luck.

Dr. Ward is a very sweet and intelligent professor. He wrote his own textbook (which he uses as his notes) with students in mind to help understand Physio. Physiology is a tough subject and this class is no easy A, but study, ask questions, attend SI, go to labs (easy points) and you will succeed. I'm glad I got to take him!

An oldie but a goodie! Other professors should take note! He was an absolute pleasure to have for a professor. Very clear with his lectures, (unlike S. Schirmer)made a difficult subject understandable. You still have to make an effort. Glad I got him after he came back from a year away. Try to take him if possible. ALL HAIL DAVE WARD!! LOVE HIM!!

Hands down the best physio professor out there, it's a shame is his last semester teaching. No physio professor can compare to him at mjc. Labs are easy and really fun. He gives you all the tools to be successful, but it's up to you if you want that A. Took this in the summer really difficult due to time, but should be smoother in a reg semester.

Dr. Ward is a fantastic teacher! His lectures and drawings are superb! This is not an easy class but he makes it so because he is very knowledgeable. Just show him respect, pay attention to him in lecture and in lab. Lab is a breeze! Lectures are not mandatory but highly recommended! I would take him again.

Dr. Ward is an amazing professor! He is very clear on what he expects and what you should know for exams. They can be challenging but as long as you study and attend class you should have no problem. He is very helpful and cares about students success. I learned so much. He is extremely intelligent and highly recommend him!

Quirky, but brilliant. And how he presents the info in class is pretty much how he poses the questions on the tests, which helps tremendously in a subject as complex as physiology.

No homework, labs are easy, and easy points. Exams are hard, you need to read and go to lecture to understand them. A lot of questions are about the order in which things happen, which can get mixed up easily. Good professor, but if you ask a question, be prepared to be there for awhile. Go lecture, don't skip them!

Great lectures and person. Every single person( in all four sections) passed with a C or higher. Also, if you study the "quiz me" section you'll definitely get A's on all your tests, he pulls question for exams off there.

I took Dr. Ward this Spring. He is an amazing teacher! TAKE HIM. His exams are based on lectures and he gives study guides for every exam which help big time. He is retiring soon so take him while you can. He gets off topic easily but overall is a really nice and caring man. He made this class enjoyable. Work hard and you will pass with an A!

I think he tests fairly. He gives extra points for frequently missed questions. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but going to lab is necessary (and worth 15 points) He writes his own textbook that is available for free!

Lectures are very thorough. He uses both digital images and does his own drawing on the board to illustrate what he's teaching. Dr. Ward is a fantastic teacher and very helpful, but you NEED to put in the work. In my Intro Human Physiology with him we had 5 exams and an extra credit assignment (2 science journal reports), but no assigned homework.

Dr. Ward is a very clear professor. Although labs and lectures are very long, he keeps it interesting. His drawings were always very helpful. Your grade is based off your labs and five exams, and then you have a final at the end. I was scared to take physic but am glad i took it with Dr. Ward because he was recommended to me by so many people.
