If you're taking his class to learn how to draw, don't bother. If you know how to draw, you'll get better though. He doesn't teach you how to use the various materials, like charcoal drawing was tough for me, but every project is challenging and in class he'll answer any question you have. I never accessed him out of class, so don't know about that

Dwaine is awesome! I think he is a great teacher and will he will spend a lot of extra time helping you if you just ask him. He is a very hard grader so you must go above and beyond if you want an A, and make sure you study everything on the study guides.

The tests are a little hard because most of it is q&a (fill in the blank without a answer key). He definitely knows what he is doing when talking about ceramics. He doesn't give A's unless you go above and beyond. Only take if you have experience from high school, or else you wont be able to keep up. Also, be careful. Your pottery might get stolen.
