I took HS106 online for 2014. I was scared at first because I haven't taken colleges courses in 6 years. Professor McCourt is one of the best teachers I have come across. He wants you to understand the material and show you know what it means. He is very nice and understanding. Easy passing grade class and don't procrastinate on work !!

I took an online class and scored 80+ on all the tests and somehow ended up getting a D out of the class even though I handed in all the required assignments. I asked him questions regarding the assignments and he never got back to me in some instances. DO NOT TAKE HIM. WORST PROFESSOR.

I took American History II online class with prof. McCourt. Don't get intimidated by his complex and long syllabus, his class SO EASY! No essays, no research! Lot of quizzes and they are so easy! All multiple choices. There are 2 Cartoons assignments, but they are easy and you learn. Discussion groups, as long as you post 3 or 4 times, you all set!

Great Professor..!!! I just took World Geography and loved the way the class was organized. I learnt so much and the professor is extremely helpful. I have not taken American History before and i will sure take a class with this professor. Do your work and be prepared and you will learn so much.

Profesor McC is the best teacher I've had at Mbcc. Really, all you have to do is attend his class regularly and show some sort of interest and you will pass. Also, if you ever have questions go talk to him! he loves that! Good guy.

Comment:

A course on Globalization and Diversity, service learning clearly stated as component of course work. The service learning component brought greater insight to Globalization. In particular, increased demands for soup kitchens in Europe and US. I thought this was an excellent course but required a lot of work beyond attending a basic lecture.

Terrible Professor - This guy forces you to do stupid service learnings that does nothing for you in which you must do soup kitchens and tutoring. What does this have to do with Geography? Nothing. He's a miserable professor and you would do wise to avoid him.

This professor will really make you sweat your grade point by point, but overall really he is a good professor!
