I took her class online and honestly it was the easiest class. All I had to do is discussion and quiz. I didnt buy the textbook and I passed the class with an A. I don't suggest you take her in class because I saw bad reviews but online its great!

Dr. Gaythwaite was an excellent professor. Her course is very organized and allows you to work at your own pace as far as moving ahead. She offers extra credit almost every other week and you earn the points by responding to your classmates' posts. Very easy class and would recommend. You only have to deliver one speech throughout the entire course

DO NOT TAKE HER, she doesn't even care about you or how you do in class. I finished the class with an 89.79 and she refused to bump me up. Poor feedback when grading, and you feel like she grades everything in mere seconds without giving any thought to anything.

Do NOT take her. I had no choice to take her online. She is impersonal and could care less about the students learning. She quickly grades with zero effort, misspells often, and gives poor feedback. Doesn't explain things clearly. Very disappointed in this class, it's the only instructor I have truly disliked at VC and would never take again.

Dr. Gaythwaite, is a wonderful professor I enjoyed speech online for my first time. Just be prepared there is a lot of reading and assignments due every week she releases them early for you to work ahead. I would take her again she was straight forward on what is expected.

Not only does Professor Gaythwaite make this class really easy and enjoyable to take, she also goes out of her way to help her student's pass. By far the best teacher I have ever taken. The class is a lot of work but she's so nice and such an easy grader. I ended with a 103 in the class.

She's very nice. She give good feedback on the speeches. I enjoyed taking her class. As long as you do good on the online quizzes then you will pass the class. I barely used the book, but I did use them on quizzes. It practically gives you the answer. I would definitely take this class again or take another class given by her.

She was helpful, nice, and fun. She describes exactly what she wants done with your speeches. Everything is submitted and found on Blackboard; homework, outlines, quizzes. Blackboard is vital to the class. Pay attention to what she wants and do it. Speeches aren't hard and she makes the class comfortable to speak in front of. Attend & Participate.

Professor Gaythwaite is without a doubt the most unorganized professor that I had taken this semester. I took her class as a hybrid class and the only reason that I did well in it is due to advice and help from other students. The quizzes are all online and simple and the class work is easy. She is a nice lady, just very unorganized.

She is the most confusing teacher I've ever hard. You walk out of her classroom asking yourself what exactly did she mean. She doesn't explain the assignments and leaves you to figure them out yourself. Her due dates are pretty close together and you WILL have multiple quizzes due each week. I don't recommend her.

She is super nice. It's not a hard class. There isn't that many assignments either. We didn't use a book only connect. Follow her instructions...DO the homework and outlines and you will pass. Don't go by the syllabus it changes alot.
