Comment:
Iglesias LOVES this course. Truly passionate about teaching it to her students. She really encourages class participation and the lectures will go by much smoother if your section is willing to participate. Make sure you write your exam to her viewpoints. I am vehemently against her many of her viewpoints that she expressed, and I still did well.

Comment:
To say she was a disappointment is an understatement. I took her for Con Law and to have a socialist teaching you is not the most enjoyable thing in the world. She's unbelievably spacey in her lectures and if you don't write to her view point you won't do well.

Comment:
Great professor! This Constitutional Law (first year course) is a gem. This is probably the most important class in law school. Professor Iglesias is brilliant, delivering master-class level lectures every class meeting. The final exam was a fascinating, ripped from the headlines memo-style three questions. Totally fair and good exam.

She really cares about her students. She is respectful and very clear about what she wants. She gives flexibility and will listen to engaging conversation. Her test was exactly what she said it was. She goes straight from the book, so she is easy to follow and appreciates participation. If you want to learn Conlaw, she will teach you. Great prof.

Extremely passionate about the subject matter-- Gitmo and denial of habeas review, etc. Her expressed views were, at times, radical but her knowledge runs deep. The class had great practical application to what is going on in the world & proved very informative. The reading was exhausting, but she did teach us how to PROPERLY brief a 100+ pg case!

took her for international criminal law in the Fall of 2009. A few things: 1. don't go to class. 2. dont read. 3. get an A. Never have I done less work. She is the easiest grader at the law school. Just get through the class by either not showing up at all or showing up just to surf the net. Write your own communist manifesto as your exam answer

Do NOT take her for anything. Especially Crim Pro. I'm a hardcore liberal, didn't mind her slant, AND STILL abhorred her teaching (or lack thereof). She teaches international law/immigration law and not criminal procedure. Her exam was NOTHING relating to the topic/lecture. STAY AWAY!

Comment:
She may just be the worst teacher in the law school. Although it was a Criminal Procedure class, she tested us on things like the Torture Victim Protection Act and 5th amendment rights for aliens. Her lectures were also of little to no intellectual or academic value unless you enjoy hearing how police and prosecutors are evil.

I really liked her - I heard horror stories before I took her and couldn't understand why after I had been in her class. She is very helpful. Whether you agreed with her views or not, she encouraged debate and thinking. I thoughit was fun and got an A. For exams, I would look at her old exams before outlining to see how she tests.

i really liked this class, but then, it was a really small seminar and i am also a "left-wing nut" so we got along well. of course, if you're a right-wing fascist, you might just want to steer clear.

horrible horrible professor. screwed the entire class by mixing up exams, everyone had to choose between a pass/fail and an actual grade (w/o knowing what the actual grade was). in the classroom she is a left wing nut, rambles forever. beware.
