Betsy was an excellent professor - she can be a little scatterbrained at times, but ultimately class and lecture with her was a great time. There is quite a bit of homework that you don't technically have to turn in for a grade, but it is incredibly helpful to do it along with the sections you are working on in class.

Comment:

Elizabeth, also known as Betsy, is a very good professor. I took the ALEKS online course and she was very helpful. She has a quiz almost everyday,but for every quiz she lets you use notes and you can check your answers with a partner. She goes over the material that is going to be on the quiz right before it. Also lets you retake any chapter test.

I absolutely will not recommend her to anyone! Whenever I would ask her help Miss McKinney wouldn't even try to help me understand the materiel, She told me that she didn't know how to help me & walked off. BEWARE of quiz days! She uses material that we haven't even learned in class for the quizzes & gets mad if don't understand it. Doesn't help!

Betsy is the best teacher I have ever had. She really cares about her students. You will have to work hard to do well in the class, but she will give you many resources to excel. I promise if you take her advice you will do great in her class. I have a better understanding of math after taking her class and am fully prepared for future math courses

Its a shame that her grade comes through as a C. She really is a wonderful professor and I suggest that if you struggle with math, to take this class. She will help you to understand concepts and is very clear with the process. Excellent!

Took an Aleks class with her, twice. I liked her so much I took 097 & 098 with her. She is extremely helpful and loves her job. She wants you to succeed and has A LOT of open hours for you to come in and do work. She replies to emails very promptly. She also realizes we are real people/adults who have lives and was flexible.

Betsy is one of the BEST math teachers I have ever had. If you are struggling with Math she is one of the best teachers to learn from. PLUS she drops your lowest TEST and Quiz Grades!!!

Great professor, she was always helpful and passionate about seeing students do well. Plenty of availability. You could get help during other class times if there was room or office hours. Does expect attendance but not unreasonable. Was an aleks course, so homework was based on ability. I am not a math whiz but felt very comfortable in this course

I took Betsy for Ma 95,97 and 98 and wish I could take her for all my math classes. By far the best teacher I have ever had. I got F's in math before her, now I am all A's, including in 107. She's flexible and gives you every opportunity to succeed if u apply yourself. She will show u multiple ways 2 solve a prob. Until u find a way u prefer.
