Lots of reading-3 large books & several small ones. 2 exams, 3 essays & 7 journals. The essays are due at various times throughout the course, but the journals are all due at the end of the course in one big paper. Don't put them off, though. Counts off for late work. Syllabus is disorganized & difficult to understand. Course needs structuring.

This is the worst college professor I have ever had, IMO. I literally had to redo the syllabus to understand it because everything is so unorganized. Her lectures were in "Courier New" font and I honestly just can't -- so many grammatical errors and there are FIVE narrative books to read. I would not take this class again with her as the prof. NOPE

This class was BORRRRing. It truly made me thankful for my biology major. The information used is SO outdated. We had to buy 7 books written in the 90's with data that is not relevant at all. Statistics used are from the 90's - early 00's which is all irrelevant. A very dry, thoughtless class for a topic that deserves more conversation.

This is just a review on Dr. MT's online class, not of her since I never really interacted with her. It was mostly a lot of busy work, but over all an easy A. The tests are very similar to the modules provided, so make sure you're familiar with them. Make sure you have a rough idea on were to find certain information in the books and you'll be ok.

I have not completed the course yet, but I am doing ti over winter break for a 3 week period& have received my syllabus. It is pretty much a teach yourself course but super interesting readings. I ma a business major taking it as an elective and it is so different than any busn course and I am thoroughly enjoying it and all of the readings/writing

I am not sure how I feel about her. To begin you need like 7 books. Which is a lot of money when you add it up. Other than it is pretty okay. Three minor 2 page writing assignments. No discussion boards. 2 exams. and journals. She is okay. An easy A as long as you do the journals.

Probably one of my least favorite classes ever taken. She has a few assignments to grade you on and you have to buy and read like 7 "short" novels. There was not very much teaching, but rather a lot of reading. I considered it a self-taught class and felt I did not learn much about the topic. I would probably not take her again.

This class was such a breeze- I did not have to pull my hair out to understand the material. There were only 2 tests and a few papers turned in, but you have to read 2 separate books to pass. Study guides are given for tests and grades showed up expeditiously after work was submitted. I HIGHLY recommend her.

I cannot express how much I love the fact that we had NO DISCUSSION BOARDS. I hate hate hate discussion boards. Instead, we had 3 short papers and journal writing (2 or so pages each) due at the end of the semester.

Dr. MT is a good professor. She quickly responded to the questions I had. There is some reading, but I found most of the books very interesting. We did have to write three papers and keep a journal, but they were short, reflective/personal responses. The tests were fairly easy. I learned a lot about the subject and enjoyed the class.

Took this class as an elective for my minor and it was very interesting. There is a lot of reading for this course - but the books required are interesting; expect to read all of the books. Two exams, three short writing assignments and weekly journal entries on the readings. Would recommend this professor.

She is an awesome teacher! Had her for SOC 340 Online Class. It required a ton of reading. Very easy class if you do the reading though. She was very helpful and always responded quickly to any questions I had. Take her if you need this class!!

Required a lot of reading, almost too much to complete in a week. We were reading modules, chapters and at least 2 books a week.Fairly easy material to understand just way to much to retain. Our first exam was on modules 1-9 and only 30 multiple choice questions so it was a lot of information to remember just in case it was on the test.

Very dull class for the class material itself, but it's interesting with Dr. MT. She's awesome and cares a lot for her students. She will help you with whatever you need. Will definitely take her again. Had to get the class out of the way for major...material is dull, but bareable with her teaching
