Worst professor i've had at Berkeley. Totally unprepared and not engaging. Material was easy and grading is ok. Would not recommend this professor for 160 heard she is good for psyc.1. If able to take another prof. please do.

Very enthusiastic, clear & she has a sense of humor :D Tests are super easy as long as you keep up on reading or pay attention to/attend lecture. GREAT professor.

only good as a lower div.prof.slides exact copies of textbook and research papers.Made midterm difficult in grading with only 20 questions for 7 ch. Very unprepared for an upper division class, consistently asking the GSI's during lecture "is that correct?" "do you guys know the answer?" gsi's complained a ton during section. wait for Keltner!

This class is not difficult and I still learned a lot. She explains concepts very clearly, almost too clearly (sometimes seemed straight from the book, including examples). Assignments were worthwhile; exams were very appropriate and doable. Finally, she was very supportive of the students and always was happy to answer questions during lecture.

Really enthusiastic, examples during lecture very funny. Midterms were straight forward, though grading was a little harsh for short anwer part. No papers, and everything was basically on lecture slides so I rarely went to lecture. But she's still very engaging!

Good class to take if you are taking other hard classes. She is a very clear lecturer and gives you the slides. As long as you know the slides and read the black lightening notes you will get an A. She even gives extra credit.

Attending lecture was rather unnecessary, as she regurgitated all the facts we learned from reading the textbook. Lectures aren't boring, though, if you feel obligated to attend. Midterm and final are very straight-forward, all material is from the book or from her slides (which she posts online). It's practically impossible to not get an A!

Although the lectures come right from the book, she clarifies the material enough so that the tests aren't that hard; lectures are enjoyable because you don't have to take notes since she posts the slides online. I learned a lot and now I am ten times more interested in psych. She's very enjoyable to listen to: not boring!

THIS PROFESSOR SUCKS! The class is boring! However, you get a great deal: 5 units worth of work for 3 units worth of credit. LOL. She is not understanding at all. I had a friend who had an A- in the class and Simon-Thomas FLUNKED her because she didn't complete "1" RPP hour. This class and professor is the reason why people drop Psych as a major!!!

Dr Simon-Thomas's lectures are very clear, organized, interesting, and easy to follow. She is a very enthusiastic lecturer and class is never boring. The material comes straight from the textbook, which makes the course VERY easy. The tests are manageable, the papers are easy, and sections are helpful (if a little boring.) Overall, it's GREAT!
