I like Mr. Lazaroff as a person and as a proffesor. He has an interesting philosophy on not having multiple choice questions on his tests or quizes. Word of the wise though, don't bring up gambling stories during probabilty lesson, my fault, he gets sidetracked if you do. Oh yes, also is understanding, too.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! Stats is already a boring class as it is, and he makes it ten times worse. there are only four tests and a final so basically you have to do good one every single one! he repeats everything and hardly makes sense

Very Easy teacher...Tests are very straightforward, and are very similiar every year (hint,hint). All the problems on the exam are from notes or HW. He is kind and wants to see his students succeed. He even brought us PIZZA...However he can go on a rampage for half the class period.

His tests are straightforward, but he doesn't describe the concepts well and emphasizes equations over understanding. He seemed nice at first, but once went on a tirade refusing to admit when he was wrong and forcing a student to leave. I began to hate calculus and math in general while in his class.

Lazaroff is the most unprofessional and moody educator I've ever come across. He constantly emphasizes how he doesn't waste your time yet he'll go on a rant taking up half the class on a weekly basis. Took this class during the summer to get ahead, got a B in the class yet less than a year later I don't remember anything he "taught" me. AVOID HIM

Rarely starts class on time, gets lost in his own notes, moody, and runs on tangents when trying to explain a concept. His test are fair but if you don't do speedy calculations, you just might not finish it. Grade relies heavily on ur test since he doesn't grade h.w. Might not be the best ppl person but he is def. fair.

Mr. Lazaroff is tough, but is there to teach students who are serious about learning. If you go to EVERY class, take notes (which are actual problems on the test),do ALL homework and pay attention you could end up with an A, like I did.

No arithmetic knowledge...doesn't derive anything himself. If you ask him to do a question, he won't cuz he can't. Avoid at all costs...maybe a better lower level math instructor. Awful at this level.

I took this class oversummer. For those of u who will b working b ready 2 do hw every day. u do have to spend time on the hw to understand the material. He is really boring, doesnt let you talk to ppl in class. I got 60s on the tests, didnt do hw nor study, and not sure what i got on my final but ended up with a C in the class.

Hes a good guy overall. He's a little overwhelming at first, but he is funny. Statistics is very hard but, if you show up everyday and copy his notes you'll do fine. The notes he gives is examples of the test questions and a lot of them are the exact question. I showed up everyday, took notes, but I really didnt study and I got a C for the course.

my best math teacher i've had high school and college. the hw is not mandatory but you need to be there every day for the notes or you'll be lost on the test. he's a real good guy and if you're interested in prob and stat you should take him. he knows what he's doing, plus no mandatory hw!!!!

Great instructor. Hard course but he gets you through it if you put in the effort. I highly recommend him. Take detailed notes of every problem he covers on the board as they are on the tests. You must also complete assigned problems on syllabus and study. He cares about his students understanding the material.

Very HARD class: you must study, do assigned problems on Syllabus, attend every class meeting, take notes of problems covered in class as they are on tests. A solid, dedicated instructor. Cares about students doing their best. Wants each student to understand the material well. Statistics is not hard to understand after working assigned problems.
