FJ is awesome. I've always struggled with foreign languages, and thus avoided them entirely until my senior year. However, in his class, learning German was fun and interesting. You do have to go to class though, because you can't really learn a language without speaking it, and that's what he tries to encourage. Highly recommended.

I took Wehage for 111-112 my freshmen year at muskieland, he is very tough, but you WILL learn tremendously if you're really a student. I transferred to mt. union, and have a much easier professor now, but still miss wehage--he was amazing. What you put into his class, you'll get out of it, believe me. Great guy, and caring!

Loved the class (subject), but he needs to change his attitude. I dreaded going to classes for fear of what chip he'd have on his shoulder that day. I couldn't stand being in class with him, but he had the nerve to contact my parents to have them encourage me to take a 2nd semester with him!!!
