Bob Bosch is the most accessible professor in the Oberlin math department. He understands being disabled and chronic health concerns, and he will make the class work for you. I had him for Discrete Math and Algorithms (CS class) and in both he was very enthusiastic about the subject matter making him an engaging, fun, and informative lecturer.

Great person. Took some other classes with him as well. Make it possible for you to skip final exam (makes life easier). A+ is possible. Not like some other profs who treat A+ as something holy (and only give to geniuses). His voice makes me sleepy (downside). His lecture is average in terms of easiness to follow.

I really enjoyed his class! I never thought someone could be so passionate about calculus or make it so interesting, but he proved me wrong! I don't think I'll get the chance, but I would love to take another class with him before I graduate!

I took this class solely to complete a QFR requirement. He neither managed to make the subject less interesting or more interesting. He will help you with anything if you go to his office. He likes to make examples with LeBron and shooting hoops. Not a fun course for me but I had to do it to graduate.

Theorem. Suppose that P = Bosch. Let Q = Awesome teacher, and let R = Extraordinarily supportive. Then P --> (Q&R). By definition of Bob Bosch, proof is trivial. QED

One of the few math professors that emphasizes the applications of mathematics to everyday life, thinking and problem solving. Crystal clear lessons. I was excited for each class as I could always expect an interesting and mind boggling math problem. One of the most helpful and understanding professors during office hours.

The reason I decided to major in math. Great lecturer and so warm, kind, and welcoming during office hours. Bob truly wants you to succeed. Definitely the best in the department. Note: He's jaw-droppingly cute. I want to shrink him so I can carry him around with me all the time and snuggle up with him whenever the desire strikes.

The best class I've taken at Oberlin period. Not that hard to get an A, but probably because Bosch makes the subject so incredibly interesting that you don't mind working hard. Struggling through linear algebra is worth it just to be able to take this class.
