Best English professor at NOVA. Incredible resource, don't waste the time that you have in his class. I took World Lit with him and was blown away by his knowledge of the subject, and of the world in general. Doesn't babysit you though, he gives you writing assignments that are due by the end of the semester and if you don't do them, tough luck!

Super easy. Extremely clear about what he expects out of everyone and he is blunt and honest. You only have to do a few papers(4).After he corrects your paper you can revise it and give it back to him to receive a better grade.Beware.Its super easy to slack in that class..which is why I only ended up with a B in the end.

Best. Class. Ever. This man is awesome. I did absolutely nothing in this class, and I still learned a lot. His teaching methods are pretty much round table discussions on the books he's chosen. He does most the talking, which is totally fine with me. Very professional, and knowledgeable man. no tests/hw. 4 assignments due at the end.

Don't think about it twice and enroll.I've come across a lot of professors at NOVA and I must say he has been one of the best. He is such an intelligent person and will have you laughing during the interesting class discussions.Read the books, do your two assignments, have fun watching movies and meet you Lit requirement with an A VATHING ROCKS ;)

He's a GREAT teacher. I had him for both Japanese and Chinese literature. The texts he selected gave us a fantastic overview of writers from both cultures. Yes, we watched movies, but they were used as teaching tools for sure. Also, he gave me a great deal of latitude in exploring research topics I was interested in. Supportive, humble, and a pro!

He respects literature.He is awesome, but class is messy. One student has never brought textbooks, and she has sent textmessages in class every time:it was noisy. Other students leaves class early everytime. She said she worked a Humenity office, so the teacher accepts it.Noone belives,but many students lose studying harder.
