Worst professor ever for capstone. Wasted a month of class before even starting our project. As the semester went on, he kept adding more criteria to everyone's projects, and is not knowledgeable in today's technology. He asked us how do we turn on a raspberry pi. He will ask questions in 3 different ways and you would be more confused than ever.

The most unorganized professor I've taken. Took the entire class 3 weeks to just select what projects to do. Shows up to class late. Would constantly change assignments, causing confusion between students. During presentations, would ask either questions that were already explained or common sense questions. I question his competence sometimes.

It took 2 weeks just for him to pick our groups only to tell us the groups were too large a week later. Some students were forced to join an off campus project for reasons we still don't know. He also graded us based on things that weren't in the rubric and expected far too much from a project. He actually asked our group how email worked.

Completely incompetent. This guy got his degree in the 90s and hasn't kept up with any of the changes that have happened since then. For a professor teaching Information Technology, that's unacceptable. However, he has tenure so he will continue to teach nonsense to the end of time. This class is only stressful because Singh is dumb.

It took two weeks before the class did anything. End of January he added a mandatory new Capstone group that split previously made Capstone groups. He will watch your group present only to listen to none of it. He asked "How do you turn on the Pi" When referring to a Raspberry Pi. He adds new criteria after criteria is already made. I listened to this man tell the entire class that it is impossible to use the sort command in Linux to sort a specified field. He said that the Linux OS provides less flexibility then Microsoft Excel. He thinks RHEL is a Debian distro. If you're interested in doing everything 100% incorrectly I can't recommend him enough.

For a professor, he's very unorganized. Seems like he comes up with homework assignments and projects on the go, and his grading criteria reflects that because he'll change it on a whim. Lectures are okay, a little winding and all over the place. Not very accessible. He can be curt with students asking questions, best to fly under the radar.

Never available outside of class. Didn't listen to students during their presentations. Ignored our ideas. Final presentation of our projects he talked about "unspoken requirements" after we had a meeting about explicit requirements for our projects. Avoid him if possible for Senior project.

This professor does not care about his class. If you expect to learn anything, pick someone else. You would be better off teaching yourself, as I ended up doing, as his lectures are nonsense and it doesn't seem like he knows what he's doing. Grading criteria would change without notice: he dropped a large group project on a whim and did not care

He is a good teacher. But he does not care about the class. He constantly shows up late (sometimes up to 40 minutes), and rushes important topics. Grading criteria would change without notice, and was written VERY poorly. Doesn't even look at the homework, he has the TA do all the grading. If you can find some else, I would. But he is not the worst

Prof Singh was solid. His pop quizzes are quite hard, so don't miss class. He assigns A LOT of homework, but its usually good practice. His approach to algorithms is much different than the math profs which makes him the better choice for CS students who want practical knowledge. Tests aren't bad. He goes off topic sometimes though, so expect that.

He is okay at lecture. The problem is that he tends overload us with a lot of homework, projects, and pop quizzes. The quizzes can be very difficult while the homework and projects are in the middle to hard. He gives two exams, they're mostly easy. Overall, he is better than most CS teachers but still mediocre.

I learned a lot! The class was very organized, interesting, & fair. You can tell Dr. Singh knows his material well and is very knowledgable. I struggled at first due to my lack of programming experience but Dr. Singh was available whenever needed for guidance & help. He really wants to see his students learn & succeed. Would recommend & take again

I took him for algorithms. He's pretty clear on what he wants out of you. The class wasn't difficult, but there was a ton of work. I spent a ton of time in this class just completing all the busywork that was given. The projects and homeworks take a long time, so don't put them off. The exams were pretty easy.

Overall, not a bad class, but the teacher passed off the grading for all homework assignments and exams to his TA, who was very incompetent. He seemed to grade things arbitrarily. Often, the prof and TA would say contradicting things about what was required. One of the worst classes I have taken in my college career.

Overall, this was a very interesting class. Professor Singh is a great guy and communicates information very effectively in the lecture. Unfortunately, as most of the students in the class are CSECIT majors, it made it very difficult to undertake a class project that had any real relevance to BIO.

Save/remember all quiz questions as these will repeat on the final with some additional questions. Not a bad class but could be much better. Labs are the most valuable. 700 points lavs, 200 points partner term paper, 200 points final exam, 400 points quizzes, attendance, activities. Try to get Qu! He actually knows his stuff in the subject!

Great guy overall and truly wants his students to learn. With him teaching this course for the first time and with it being essentially thrown at him, he did well. It was not advanced however & a lot was a review from 348. Qu should have taught this class as well! It was a bit disappointing. DonĂ¢€™t get the books, useless and maybe good in the 90s.

So basically he doesn't know anything about system administration. The class from beginning to end was boring, unorganized, and uninteresting. We didn't start talking about system admin stuff til like 6 weeks into the semester. We only used one book, even though he had us buy 3. Horrible teacher, bad structure of class.
