The most boring class ever. Exams were difficult even though you could use a cheat sheet. Definitely too hard for a level 100 class.

Geoffrey Burd is an alright prof, he is the most boring man I think I've ever met though. The final two units were entirely self-taught because we ran out of time apparently but he did a bad job in planning overall. The exams are hard and the cheat sheets don't help. He also said he'd round up my grade at the end of the sem but he didn't.

Wow, this guy is boring. College forces us to take classes that waste our time and money and this is one of them. After the first week I realized I only needed to sign in and leave, never learned a thing. Test would have been stupid hard if not for the THREE cheat sheets

Burd is a super nice guy who is passionate about art. For a gen ed, it is easy if you finesse the system. If you need a class to push off to the side, take him. You can have cheat sheets on exams with all info. Make a good one, your're set. Didnt read or learn a single thing, ended the class w/ an A. Can leave class at break if you dont respect him

Professor Burd is very nice but lectures are very long and boring. The exams are not terrible if you study and attend lecture.

Professor Burd means well. Attendance is mandatory and is 5 points each day. His lectures are boring and no one pays attention during them. A lot of people leave class early, but sometimes he give in class assignments that you need to be there to get the points for. He allows you to bring note sheets to the exams and gives extra credit on them.

His lectures are boring, but he isn't out to get anyone. He posts weekly Blackboard quizzes with material directly out of the textbook (must have) and lectures. Show up and actually do the work, should be an easy A.

Easiest class ever and definitely the easiest A for ART 101. He is a terribly boring lecturer but you don't need to listen at all. He takes attendance at the beginning of class but then you can just leave class at breaks or do homework in class. You can prepare 4 pages of cheat sheets for each exam using the study guides he gives so they are easy.

I took this class as a 6-9. Definitely boring but super easy. He cancelled the end of the year project and switched the final exam to non-cumulative. He takes attendance at the beginning of class and after that you can skip out. Print the study guides ahead of time and do them while he lectures. Exams are easy, you get 2 pages of notes.

Prof. Burd is a really nice guy and has a deep passion for art. But for the love of God if you're taking ART 101 as a gen ed. do not take this guy. He makes you work for the grade. I would spend about 8 hours making study guides for the exam. I have nothing against art, but I wasted my time. Being a STEM major, I hope you can see where I come from.

This was seriously the easiest class I've ever taken. Exams are directly off the study guides and you get to use note pages on them all including the final. He is really boring to listen to but attendance is mandatory for points.

Before taking this class, I read through the comments students made previously about him. I thought this class won't be too bad considering it is Art101. Professor Burd is a nice guy, but his lectures are very boring. I could've skipped the entire semester and still pass but he does mark attendance down for 5 points. Tests are easily, given that 2 page of cheat sheet is allowed front and back. 2 presentations. DO NOT purchase the textbook! did not have to use once throughout the entire semester

DO NOT TAKE! Tests are very confusing and have nothing to do with the lectures. Very hard class for a gen ed and I would not recommend at all. Nobody pays attention in class beacuse his lectures are so boring and have nothing to do with the course content I had to withdraw from the course because I was afraid it would hurt my GPA. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Lectures are boring mainly due to his monotone, low voice. Maybe 5 of the 30 people in my class paid any attention but attendance was mandatory. I just did other homework most of the time. Couple of projects that aren't too hard and 3 tests. He lets you use 2 sheets of notes on the tests so fill those up and tests will be a breeze. Don't recommend.

Easiest class I have taken at GV. Lectures are boring, but you can use notes on tests (questions come straight from the study guides). Not a lot of homework.
