all my essays were a D. Even the other students that I've read had a D or an F. Very rude and always wants to be right in a situation. SUPER HARD CLASS, I came to class everyday, did my homework everyday, and I studied, but still I failed his class.

I enjoy school and meeting different teachers but Bellah was so unpleasant. His class isn't too bad and the readings are really cool, but his essays are unbelievable. I agree with the other comments who say that he will grade badly if your essay is not what he is expecting. Take the class if you're willing to work really hard on the essays.

DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! In my 3 years of being a college student I have never had a teacher so ignorant and crule as Bellah. If you dont write his exact way then you will get low grades on all essays. He calls our class stupid and when we disagree with him he gets upset. Stay away from this class

This teacher has got to be one of the worst teachers/persons I have ever met. I dont usually complain about any teachers I have, but he is so mean. He talks so negatively to the class and made everyone feel so dumb. I really hope he gets fired he is not even a nice person. He is just so rude and dont bother trying use the bathroom during class

It would be one thing if Professor Bellah were a bad teacher but still a pleasant person to be around. Unfortunately he is pretty much the anti-Christ AND a bad teacher. I think he knows what he is talking about, but he seems like he hates everything and everyone, which makes for a unhealthy learning environment. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

Bellah is a tough grader, but if you pay attention to what he says & write correctly...you'll be fine. What's kind of neat about his class is that he also has the class studying movies in depth (since screenplays are literature, too). Doing this offered a whole new look at movies, directing, and acting. It's a good and challenging class! :)
