Professor Laris is a true gem. She lives and breathes art and is truly inspiring. She will find your strengths and push you to pursue them no matter what your style is. She has such a kind & liberating spirit. She is always in such a positive mood! Attendance is important to her and also assignment completion. If you love art, you will do great!

I've taken 3 classes with Georgia. 1 of the very few inspirational/BEST teachers I've ever had in my life. She's extremely caring & understanding; she's become like a mentor to me while I was @ Mesa. She could tell if you're trying or not in her classes, so don't be afraid of making "mistakes" while drawing. She's such a sweetheart! TAKE HER CLASS!

Ms. Laris is very friendly and cares about her students. There was some confusion as to what's due nearing the final week as she wants you to put together a portfolio, however, she answered all of my questions. We had one field trip to Balboa Park, which is later in the semester. Check the syllabus, draw 3-4 times a week, and do the projects.

Comment:

2D was a fairly easy class. She is a great professor and tells you want she expects from the projects. The class had several art projects due - good amount of time to do each. She also has all of her quizzes open note. She is a good choice!

Professor Laris is awesome! I would recommend her for any art class at Mesa College. I took her Art 150A in the Fall 2018 and she helped me to understand art design. She offered encouragement and suggestions for improving my work. I recommend her highly. She is a kind and caring teacher.

She's not the best art professor I've had, but she is definitely a good beginning art professor. She's super nice, and understanding, which is the only reason I personally had a hard time in her class (I need harsh critique). Don't miss the class, or it will affect your grade.

Professor Laris is one of those inspirational teachers that I will remember for years. She is kind and I loved her outlook on teaching and life. Just because she is a more laid back teacher in her teaching style, you still learn a lot and I think her method of teaching left a bigger impact. Be warned even though she's nice, she's not pushover!

I was considering becomming an art major and her class made me decide. She is extremely nice and cares for you. Even if you aren't into art or drawing she will find a way to make you succeed and she always finds the good in the artwork. Her passion for both art and her students show and I am going to take another class with her.

I thought the class would be my least favorite but it turned out to be the best class of my semester. If you show up for class, participate in class, ask questions, and give your assignments some effort you have an excellent chance of getting that A for effort. Chihuahuas love professor Laris too. Ignore the - reviews she is great!

She is really kind, warm-hearted, funny, always be there for you. She always clear in the instruction. I'm an international student so I had a hard time understanding her lecture, but she always there to help me out. One of the kindest professor i've eer known. You should definitely take her!

She is always late and doesn't start class really until about 45 min after it is supposed to begin. If you are already an accomplished artist who does abstract art, you will love her & she will love you. Otherwise, you would be better off taking the class from someone else. Little assistance during class. Assignments vague.

Wonderful warm personality and clearly passionate about art. If you work hard and show interest she will go above and beyond to help you. However she is quite scatter-brained and instructions for assignments can be confusing. But if you like art and stay on her good side, you'll do great.

Georgia is the best! As long as you respect her, she will respect you. Very kind and understanding. Make sure you pay attention when she lectures because you will learn so much. She can be fuzzy on some assignment specifics, but as long as you ask questions she will clarify. The best art teacher I have had in a long time.
