Mr. McMains is a good teacher, at first I was not interested in history, but I enjoyed listening to his lectures. You use your textbook to study and read the material in the book and that is it. You should definitely take notes, they will help you with your tests. Take his class, he is an interesting teacher!

Dr. McMains is the best teacher at Tech by far. History students at Tech need to wake up, this is college and you cant expect it to be a cake walk. Some historys students here dont even want to read!!! If you have a problem passing Doc McMains class, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT IN LAW SCHOOL OR GRAD SCHOOL, because he isnt that hard!! Wake Up!!

Haven't had his class long but he makes History very interesting. I have always liked History anyway. He has a wonderful sense of humor and his lectures are never boring. Tests seem very straight forward. Come to class, take notes, and read the assignments - BINGO passing grade. Take an actual interest in the subject and you will have a much better grade.
