You have to go to every class. She will notice you not being there even in a room of 100+ students. Keep up with the homework and know how to do EVERYTHING she's taught you in class, not just things she repeats. She will get you on the exam with something you didn't think was important to know. She grades tough all semester, then generously curves.

Consistently got 30 percents on the homeworks but did decent on midterms. Never told us the grades on the finals but there was definitely a small curve.

Gita is my favorite teacher by far. She makes class enjoyable with her sense of humor. The class is a lot of work, tests are extremely fair and she tells you exactly what will be on them. Make sure you do your homework's and participate in class discussion. If she knows your name and knows you work hard, you will be just fine.

Dr. Talmage's class is very difficult, but if you put in the time to complete your homework you will be fine. Exams test you on the knowledge gained from struggling through homework.

In the beginning you're going to want to drop the class because of how difficult it is but she curves the class to make it very fair. There's a ton of homework in the class but after you finish the homework you are mostly prepared for her tests. My average test score was in the low seventies but I did all the homeworks and assignments and got an a-

The course really challenged me but I really enjoyed it. She assigns really hard homeworks that you do struggle on but you feel really good after you get the answer because you know you really understand the material.

One of the best professors at Penn State. The first week of class is overwhelming, but don't be fool! Stick with it. She loves her proofs. You will learn in her class. The homework is hard, expect to spend hours on it. The exams are fair, she is an extremely harsh grader though. Attend every class, and go to her review sessions! It's a MUST!

This class is one of the hardest classes you will ever take, but Talmage is easily the best professor I have ever had. She is very willing to help, but she expects a lot out of you. The homework's are very hard and incredibly time consuming, but if you go to her office hours and review sessions you will get a lot of help.

She is simultaneously brilliant and terrifying. She knows the material, and will help you if you come to her office hours. However, you should expect spending many hours on the homework. As others on here have said, she is tough, but you will learn the material.

Probably the best professor I have had at Penn State. Yes when you go to her first class it is overwhelming. You should stick with it and you will learn a ton. Also in the end you will get a good grade. I failed the first test but managed to get an A-. It will be a lot of work, but it's worth it. Plus she is super hot! Also don't buy the book!

DROP THIS CLASS!!!!!!! If you do not have 30 extra hours per week to spend on homework, your GPA will severely suffer, assuming you pass at all. Expect homework grades of 50% or less. She grades based on how much time you spend at office hours and answer questions in class. Keeping up in class is impossible with her speed and illegible handwriting.

Very interesting woman. She's all over the place during class, but she definitely gets the point across. Very knowledgeable person, you just have to give her time. She is extremely helpful in office hours. Like it was said before, if you want to learn, take Dr. Talmage. You won't regret it in the end.

Dr. Talmage is a difficult professor and intimidating at first, but she is extremely willing to help her students understand difficult concepts. I can honestly say I have learned so much in her class. Her exams and homework are very difficult, but the problems are important. Overall, I'd recommend the course if you want to learn.

She is very difficult to follow in class. You spend most of your effort copying notes and not listening to the concepts. She will call on you and make you feel stupid if you don't know the answer. She claims to enjoy torturing students. Whether I learn the material or not, I don't think its necessary for her to be so unfriendly in class.
