A great professor. Easiest class ever, all you have to do is show up and listen. No homework or tests just a couple of papers to write. My advice, listen to what he says in class and take notes, it won't be that hard to do he has a really interesting story telling teaching style that I really enjoyed.

No Exams. No quizzes. No homework (except maybe some New York times articles). Truly one of the most insightful and interesting teachers I have ever taken. I sad when his classes ended. The only down side is that he gives essay every once and a while. He grades up so my 94 is like a b instead of an A.

You will get different feelings for this teacher. At first, he's a funny guy. You love the class because he makes it very interesting. When he gives you your grades back for the essays you will be in disappointment. He grades very harsh and according to him if you get a 83 on your essays it's not counted as a B. He counts it as a D!

No tests, no quizzes, just one 20 Page paper. This was a great class and I would recommend it for everyone. If you participate and listen you will learn. The subject matter is large and he is flexible as to what is covered in class. He can get sidetracked, but if you treat it as a discussion and not a lecture you will enjoy his classes.

Prof. Petersen's class is never boring because he is always so enthusiastic and vivid in lecturing. Most exams are take home essays, but you need to pay very close attention in his class in order to get a good grade on these essays. Strongly recommended and so far he is my favorite professor in Baruch. He is also very hilarious.

He is amazing professor. He is hilarious and does not give test at all. but he gives 5 essays in a term. I think it is better than test. He gives summary sheet of his lecture and add examples during class for essays

One of the worst professors at Baruch. I took two classes with him, and both were overwhelmingly repetitive. You better also agree with his political views, otherwise you're screwed. Classes lack any structure and the grading is totally subjective.

Prof. Petersen is very passionate about this subject - and it is reflected through how he teaches. I definitely learned a lot, and it was a pretty interesting class overall. There's three papers, and bring the NY Times (just read it on your phone). Highly Recommended.

Professor Petersen is very passionate about the subject he teaches. The class involved reviewing NY Times articles and covering texts on war and peace. No test just one term paper handed in at the end of the semester.

Highly recommended. Easiest A ever, especially for a capstone. No exams, 6 logs & 1 term paper, that's it. Just talk in class & blog about NY Times articles. Sounds too easy & it is. Best of all, he really cares about the students. Shares great personal stories and life lessons. You will know "cui bono" after the semester.
