i took lawson for college algebra and i must say that at times his teaching methods can be confusing. hes a little irritated by somethings but only if class gets out of hand a bit. he recommends to only use the website and not the book. i learned more in the math lab.

Mr. Lawson is a remarkably helpful and interested professor. He is not easy, but he is very fair. He really wants you to do well. Although I know some people think him confusing, I took him after barely making it through highschool math classes, and he is the first teacher I have understood. He has a bit of a temper, so don't smart mouth him.

Mr. Lawson is a good teacher. Sometimes he allows himself to get distracted (and he does lecture on his personal beliefs occasionally), but he's usually very helpful. I had a very easy time with his class, but, admittedly, I already knew the material and was simply getting an easy Math credit. Still, I would reluctantly recommend him.

I graded for Mr. Lawson and the way that he grades homework does not help the students. He simply wanted me to check that it was done not whether it was right or wrong. Staff in the advising center told me not to take him when I asked them which teacher I should take. Students have told me that he is very hard to understand and not helpful.

I LOVED THIS CLASS!! As long as you don't miss alot & do your homework, there's no way that you couldn't have at least a B in this class. I rarely studied & got an A. He makes class fun to sit through by telling stories or jokes. Everyone needs to take him for college level algebra!!

I learned so much from professor Lawson. He really explains things well. I always felt uplifted because of his positive attitude towards life. I will consider him one of my favorite all time teachers.
