Choir wasn't about singing... it was about raising Godly men. Singing was a means to teach much greater life lessons. Doc truly cares for his students and his art. I am a better person today because of my time under his leadership.

Doc is a true Gem. He cares about every student so much and yes, there is a lot of work. But it's always worth it. He pushes because he knows that students can take it. His tangents are long sometimes, but always fun or at least kind of related. Definitely give Men's Choir a go. Touring with him is a must.

He cares about his students, especially his MMCC guys. It can take some time to warm up to him, but once you do, he's awesome. Very old fashioned but you can learn a lot from that.

Knows what he's talking about, but has a hard time breaking it down so others can understand it. Very dogmatic and quick to speak. Goes off on a lot of tangents and throws too much at his students who don't understand the first thing he said.
