Comment:

She's extremely kind. However, she often found herself questioning her performance which is extremely questionable for a professor with her qualifications. Definitely recommend taking her office hours to your advantage.

Very nice professor who is very nice and cares whether you succeed. However, not good at teaching so lectures are pretty much useless. Only reason why I still attend is because attendances are graded (check+,check,check-). Learned everything online. Lecture and professor NOT HELPFUL. Also makes us do useless group projects. Would not recommend

This class has been a reminder that professors do not need a teaching degree. Not entirely clear she understands some parts of the subject, but is clear she does not know how to teach yet. I'm not entirely sure why she came to UMass Lowell, but she needs to take a year off and take some classes on teaching.

This class is very easy, however there are way too many group projects. She is not clear on group grading. Notes reviewed in class are not that useful. Quizzes are easy because she posts previous quizzes online the week before. Kind of disorganized

I do not recommend this professor. Unorganized and unclear about the topic she is teaching. Very unclear about assignments and very rarely actually teaches class. Does not seem confident in her understanding of the material and does not elaborate when students ask questions. Does not give decent explanations of projects or assignments. Do not take.

Heidi would do absolutely anything to help her students succeed. Her exams are extremely doable and she always puts up sample tests with an answer key. She provides you with everything you need to get an A. If you don't understand something she'll divert from the lecture to explain for the whole class period if needed. She's a great professor

I dont think she even understands the subject that she teaches. The one advantage is that she's nice and always seems to be happy. Disadvantages are that she isn't clear in her lectures and she doesn't actually teach anything, she expects us to just know the subject. Also she isn't helpful and doesn't know how to answer questions.

I think she is a good teacher, she doesn't give you the answer but makes sure that you have tools to solve it yourself or she will walk you through it.

Professor Burgiel knows her stuff, but she's very repetitive and she requires group work every class. If you don't like group work, don't take her class. There are two group projects per semester. I wrote three papers for her math class, and she is a very tough grader. She even takes points off for picky things like the file name that you save.

Worst math teacher I ever had. She cannot teach. She makes you work in a group and discuss answers within the group and if your group has questions or do not know what to do she just smiles. No help whatsoever! I regret taking this class with her. Now I'm going to need a tutor for help with my MTEL because she can't teach or answer questions.

She is a nice lady but a total airhead. she is unclear and does not offer help other than "ask your group members and see if you can figure it out"… if there is another teacher offering this section take that one. very easy to fall behind on grades in this class!

She is super confusing and very unhelpful. She doesn't even know what she's teaching and her assignments make no sense. When you ask her a question she just smiles creepily and asks you the question right back. If you wanna be a teacher do NOT take this class. You will learn nothing!

I had her for math 112 and 113, she annoyed me but it was an easy A. This time around, not the case at all. She doesn't know anything about this course and is just as confused as we are. She works off of another professors lesson plan who is ALSO confused about this course. Smiles at you when you ask her something, and asks you it right back. AVOID

Easiest class I've ever taken. The homework is all online and you can keep doing it until you get a 100. She is air-headed and spacey. She does not ever explain things in a clear way and she talks to you as if you're 5. If you're looking for an easy A take this class but you probably will be annoyed with her.
