If you have issues with math and need a professor or teacher who uses more than one way of doing things to understand then DONT TAKE HIM. he does things extremely fast and has horrible writing everything is on the board... he expects you to just automatically understand and if you don't he acts confused and surprised. online hwk is tough

If you've taken previous calc classes and know the majority of the topics, you'll have no problem in the class. If not, don't expect to do well. He goes really fast, doesn't explain things well and doesn't go over problems that are "too hard for him to do"

I took pre-calc in high school, which helped a lot. However, if you're willing to come to class, take notes, and work hard you should have no problem. He moves quickly, but is always willing to answer questions.

This professor is horrible. It's hard to read his handwriting on the board and he writes and erases information so fast it's impossible to take notes. He barks at the class. There must be another professor that can teach this CALC class. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!

DO NOT TAKE JACOBSON! He talked about his life for the first 45 min of class than he talked about math pass the time slot. As people were walking out the door he would say in a soft voice "You may want to know this." and then write something on the board but he covered what he wrote with his body. WARNING!! Ive had awesome math teachers and horrible, and Jacobson is below average. He doesn't teach actual concepts or laws, he just does problems on the board. One after another and that is all he does the entire class period and expects you to learn from that. I suggest taking someone else unless you like teaching yourself.

He is an excellent teacher for the accellerated math classes. It had been a while since I had math, so i was a little worried. His grading is fair, and he gives partial credit on exams. He doesnt collect homework, so if you are a good at math and come to class then its pretty easy to get an A.
