Comment:
Entire course is done online, which makes it pretty easy. If you've taken econ before you honestly don't have to show up after the first 2 weeks. He doesn't take attendance and it won't affect your grade. The instant feedback online is nice because you always know your grade.

hilarious and interesting professor. Tells great stories and has had an incredibly interesting life. The course is interesting, but not academically enriching. Its mostly "fun facts."

Absolutely adore Barbour. I would frequent his office and just talk for the entire afternoon about everything. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge that not all professors have. He is by far my favorite professor at Elon

i wanted to love this class so much, he is such a great person but I just do not like the way the class was taught. Everything is done online and it feels like you are left on your own to teach yourself economics. I do not feel prepared to take more econ classes after taking his class. I wish you all luck who are taking this class!!

I took this class because I heard tests were online and thought it would be easy. It was not. The class itself is boring and even with open notes and open book the tests and homework are time consuming and difficult. I honestly have learned nothing in this class.

Barbour is a really great professor in class, but all of his stuff is online and the software for the tests and homework is TERRIBLE. I wish I hadn't take this class. Having everything online seems easier but this system is horrible.

Brilliant, extremely interesting, good at explaining things in simple terms and doesn't have that egotistical nature that many professors have. He is freakishly nice and definitely cares about his students, he's just not the easiest. Take him if you are interested in the course or think you might be, he's one of the best! Had him first semester

Best teacher ever!! so invested in class, loves economics, LOVES his students. He's hilarious & insanely understanding. Everythings online so no book in class. I had some emergencies that caused me to miss some work, he jumped through loops to help me get work done and make sure I still learned. TAKE HIM FOR ECON and get to know him.

Barbour is awesome. He knows everything and is passionate. You can talk with him forever and he will if you let him. Easily allows extensions. Tests are take-home. He takes a while to get assignments back. I've taken every econ prof or tutored their students and Barbour is one of the best. He's not too organized so stay away if you want structure.

He is the best professor that I have ever had in my entire life. He is extremely helpful and really interesting to talk to. Tells many stories in class that relate to econ which make the class so much more interesting. He does require effort that so its not an easy A but it is very possible to get at A

Very hard class. Will teach you how hard open note quizzes and take home tests can be. doesnt explain all of the material and go off on odd tangents. does a great job of explain certain things, just doesnt expalin everything. he is a really nice man, just the kind that will hurt your gpa. econ majors should takem non econ majors should stayoff

Told war stories all day and threw up a few graphs and that was it. He came into our final review session and told the class that we didn't have to know a think about Economics to get an A on the test.
