Not a hard class at all. As long as you read the textbook and put effort into your work than it's an easy A. People go into his class expecting it to be an easy class. It is as long as you put in minimum effort. Usually he gives you most of the answers before the quizzes.

He's a decent guy but even if you put a maximum amount of effort into his class you'll still probably end up with a C or D.. Too much work for a Movie class, you'll put your heart and soul into his papers and the highest you'll get is a C. Pay attention because he likes to call on people even when they don't raise their hand.

AWFUL.Very unfair when it comes to grading.I am a straight A student as far as English/Literature classes go & i am confident in my writing ability.I wrote 2 6-8 pg papers that were very well written & i followed his rubric perfectly.Both papers were returned andthey simply had a "C" on the front.Many other students also had the same happen to them

I feel about film as an art the way Hank Hill (from King of the Hill) feels about butane as a gas, and he did nothing to make me feel any better about it. Our weekly reviews just gave him a reason to throw a lower grade on the paper than I'm used to without any comments. It's one thing to get a C+ in organic chem, but as for a film class...

he's a good teahcer but very hard. if you take the class were you watch movies, PAY ATTENTION. he wants everyone to have a "A" paper, if you don't he gets mad. only take his class if you are ready to give 100% to your work, if not then don't waste your time or his.

People come into this class thinking it's going to be a cake course and complain when they find out they have to do more than just watch movies. This is college. Anyway, he shows great films and really takes you into the world of film construction and direction. Take his intro class.

Dr V is great. He shows great films and gives great lectures. Many people find his classes difficult and boring because they expected an easy A by taking a film class. There are usually two papers and a couple outside screenings as well as a few tests. Don't be lazy, do the reading, you'll enjoy it.

One needs to be attentive in his film class if you keep up with reading a chapter a week the class is manageable. You need to do your OWN notes and read one chapter a week. This is NOT a bird course. And the tests and pop-up quizzes are tricky. Yet it is a fun class.

He is a HORRIBLE grader..When ever you speak to him about making your paper better, he tells you how and when you get it back, its worse than the last one you handed in...His voice stinks.. He loves hearing his voice..He interupts students. He's Terrible!

Although he means well, Dr. Vendetti can be extremely unclear. His tests are comprised of minute details from the text that can easily be missed when reading and/or listening to his lecture. I don't recommend him if you don't like fully reading the text
