Dr. Archer is perhaps the easiest professor at BSC. Bonus points are free-flowing. Ask and you shall receive. She is a great professor and always available to help go over papers. Add her on Facebook. She is hilarious. Don't worry about reading the stories as she will go over them word for word in class. The study guides are word for word the exams

I think she's wonderful! She cracked me up nearly everyday (often without meaning to), her basic freshman English class was easy but she was also very helpful for anyone who was having trouble. Everyone should take a class with the one and the only Jane Archer.

I luved Dr. Archer class and she would always accept office appointmetns when I did not understand the work. For the reviewers who didn't like her repeating the text and getting her feedback, just go buy some Clifs notes and do ur own selfstudy in ur dorm if ur that opposed to it. She a cat lover too, how can you hate on that? hehe

Do not read. It is a huge waste of time. She is easy, but it is tough to write the kind of paper that she wants. It does not help to show up to class either. Despite this, she is very nice and very willing to help

She is very thorough but I agree with the other reviewers that she could spare the class from having to sit and listen to her read the same literature, word for word, that we were assigned for homework. HOWEVER, she is a very fair grader and not lenient on deadlines which made it enjoyable for me.

She sucked all the life out of this class. I WAS interested in Latin American Fiction until she tried to explain it...the class was boring as hell. She's a great person outside of the classroom, but her teaching skills are lacking.

I'm not sure my smiley face will reflect the actual experience. All she does in class is explain the plot, page by page. It's mindnumbing. I felt completely unchallenged. Outside of class, she's great, and a very smart woman, but in class, it's unbearable.

I enjoyed three of her classes in english and lit. They've been slow sometimes, but she's still a lot more tolerable than my other professors. I like the fact that she discusses things so much, and I mean very much, in class because it beats doing a bunch of busy work. I never leave confused.

She has the ablility to suck the life out of ANY story. There is no need to read the stories because she spends the ENTIRE class rereading the story. It is truly one of the most boring and dull classes I have ever had. It doesn't take much to come out of this class with an A.

GREAT Professor.... very helpful and understanding. She might seem "easy" to students, but really what you put into her classes is what you get out them. If you ever want anything above a 'B'or 'B+'... you'll have to work for it.
