Comment:

Dr. Keene understands that most students dread stats, so she really tries to break down the material so that everyone understands. I am very happy that I took this class with her rather than online. Homework is the odd problems for each chapter. There are 5 quizzes, but she provides all formulas. Dr. Keene is a great teacher.

This class was very simple and straight-forward and fair. I took this online, and the last week had sooner deadlines than usual, so it was a little rushed and a bit stressful since I was working full-time during the time I took this class. The readings were semi-interesting, but the only work besides the quizzes was forum discussions. Recommended.

I learned A LOT from this course in regards to different cultures, the evolution of the family, and even class and gender differences. I highly recommend it. The links she mandates for you to read are so interesting and up-to-date.

If you have to take a social statistics course, this is the professor to choose! I was dreading this class, but she completely changed my mind about it. Definitely don't expect an easy A, but do expect an excellent professor. She actually made statistics fun!

What a fantastic teacher! She loves her work,and is a caring and passionate professor! She does love her work - that is not to say this is an easy "A" course. She's intense - but I learned so much from her lectures, discussion boards, and book readings! I wish all profs could be like her!!!

Dr. Keene is awesome, she is passionate about what she teaches and it makes the class fun. There are a lot of notes though, so if you miss class you really miss out, the bulk of the tests come from these notes. I highly recommend taking any of her classes.

Great, awesome! We need more teachers like Dr. Keene. Knows her stuff AND knows how to teach it. Class is not a breeze, but nothing worth much is. Enjoyed going to the class everyday - very stimulating conversations.

Dr. Keene is great! I suggest you take her class! As long as you go to class you will be find, she uses a lot of material from her discussions. It was a lot of common knowledge. There were a lot of notes, but this class is soo worth it!!!

If statistics scares you take this professor!! She is soooo helpful, gives you the power point notes, so you can listen and read over them later =) I am horrible at math, but was still able to get an A during the SUMMER term! Jennifer is one of the best in the department!!

She is da bomb. I enjoyed her class. She is very helpful and willing to help any student that requests it. Very fair in grading. Homeworks were a snap. The fact that she allows a sheet of notes for the quizzes makes her my favorite memory of stats!

She is boring, she has tons of notes and doesn't allow adequate time for taking them. She talks while she is expecting you to take notes so it is difficult to pay attention to her. She is has quite an attitude with my section... I just found her to be extremely annoying and irrating.

Very enthusiastic about teaching. She kept the class on track and interested. She put the students first opposed to her own agenda. The class was hard, but if I planned to major in sociolgy I wouldn't want any instructor but her.
