He was very clear that the class grade was going to consist of 3 tests. If you know all of the questions on the study guide you should get an A. Most tests will have extra credit. Fill out the study guides, turn them in for review, fix and memorize for the exam and you will get an A. Dry to listen to in class so fill the study guides out in class

A really great guy! Show up to his lectures and you'll never need the book and be prepped for the exams. Exams are easy. Very similar to the sample exams.

I found Metzger was very interested in teaching but if you do not understand something in the slightest he will ream you for it on labs and finals.

I did not care for Jim at all. He was very unpleasant to listen to, gave no effort to help students outside of class. I went to his office hours, and he acted like I was wasting his time. He had no intentions of helping me in any way.

Comment:
Jim is a great lecturer and adviser. Ask questions, and he'll clarify using a varietiy of real-life examples. Extraordinarily intelligent man, and not arrogant about it. I call the course somewhat easy not because of the material, but because the style of material delivery is top-shelf. Has a sense of humor and cares about student learning.
