Stroh was one of my favorite profs at Mside. I didn't like many of the profs in the department when I first started, but I really liked him. His summer Ecology class is much better than taking it during the school year. He spends wwwaaayyy more time outside than in lecture and it was actually fun! Would definitely recommend!

Comment:

Jim is certainly one of the most charismatic professors you'll experience. He's knowledgeable in his field, loves what he does and has never ever been unavailable for help. If you can't find a way in one of his courses you just didn't try hard enough - myself included on one occasion. Great man and professor and our college is lucky to have him.

Have had many many classes with this guy. Does a great job of explaining the subject and cultivating my interest. Different type of teacher, lets you explore thigs yourself but you still learn. Easy to get along with.

Dr. Stroh is an awesome teacher. I find plants extremely borning, but he somehow made the class interesting. It's one of the harder classes I've taken, but if you're willing to do the work you'll get a good grade.
