His class is nothing but lecture and you have to take a whole lot of notes and pay attention. On his tests he just tell you to read like 3 chapters and it's not like you will be able to memorize everything you read so that was stressful, he doesnt even give u hints as to what may be on the test so that SUCKS!! And i doubt he cares if you pass or no

I really loved this class! Prof. Strain is the very best! Great teacher! He is a very smart man and I so appreciated his efforts with all his students. I recommend him to everyone!

His lectures are very very difficult to take nots on, my calss got an adverage of 40 out of 100 on the first test, and he made it clear he wasn't going to add a curve, his tests are mostly from his lectures (witch I said where hard to compile or even review) my addvice is to not take is class unless you have a superb memory

He was alright. You can NEVER understand his lectures. He goes off topic constantly! His tests are somewhat hard. 90% class notes and 10% book. Be sure and do the extra credit. It basically adds 10 extra points to your test. If you doing bad just talk to him and he will really help you out

Professor Strain is probably the easiest government professor to take, his test's are 90% from the lectures so you can assure your self an A by just going to class. I got an A and I never read any of the text or did any extra work besides going to class.

Do not take this class. Mr. Strain will lecture on and on about his politics and try to convince you that Jimmy Carter was the best president ever. However, when you take his test you'll realize that attending his class was a waste of time. Avoid this class or you'll be sorry,

Prof. Strain's lectures are barely tangential to the expected course outcomes and irrelevant to what you will be tested on. You will have to depend upon reading the textbook. Many students, except those that agree with his opinions and politics, will probably be turned off by his approach to lecturing. A nice guy, but not a good GOVT instructor.

Strain is an amazing professor! I used to hate govt and now I love it. He's very opinionated and outgoing. If you just listen to what he says and take down notes, you'll be perfect. He makes you think outside of the box. Be sure to interact in class, it makes it more fun. One of my favorite professors!

One of my favorite classes!! Prof. Strain tries to make you think. He likes to get the class going about the lecture so if you want a class that just memorizing from the book this is not for you.90% of his test is from the lecture if you know how to take notes and pay attention then you'll be okay. GREAT TEACHER!
