I hate the Xavier french department as someone who is minoring in french. I have had multiple different professors and I haven't liked one of them. But I absolutely could not stand Professor Recker. She is rude and teaches the most unnecessary things that we are not tested over. She hardly goes over what we are tested on.

J'adore Madame Recker! She is such a sweetie. Always has a smile on her face and loves to bond with students. You can tell she loves her job and loves life in general. You need to take the Rédaction seriously, study for tests, and participate in class. A good sense of humor helps out too; she loves to tease the kids who show up late.

Take this class. It works for a lot of disciplines and extra requirements, and it is easy. VERY EASY TO GET AN A, if you put the time into your essays. No final, and the projects are actually fun. Monotonous in class time, but very little work outside of class unless it is your turn to present.

She's an amazing teacher! Always in a good mood, explains things well for the most part. Oral tests aren't hard, only 3 questions. You always get an A on compositions if you go to her office and fix all your corrections with her help, and tests aren't bad. Lots of online hw though, but it's a completion grade. I would definitely recommend her!

I've had Recker for two classes already, French Lit & The Moral Imagination and French 202. I'm also taking her Parisians in Lit class next semester. She is a wonderful teacher and is always willing to help a student. She's also very personable and friendly. Definitely take her if you can!

Great prof. VERY helpful! Take her over McDiarmid or Bierbaum if you can. Trust me, I've had all three of them. Recker isn't easy, but she's pleasant.

One of the best teachers I have ever had in my life. Her sense of humor and clear knowledge of the French Language is great. Always has an open door and ear if you need help. Wonderful professor and a wonderful person. Take her if the chance ever arrises you won't regret it!

J'adore Madame Recker! She is an awesome prof. I have learned a great deal in her class and find her sense of humor very fun. It makes me sad that she won't be teaching my 102. I highly recommend her class. She tells you what is on tests, so you know where to focus your studies.

She is definitely the best french teacher I have ever had. She uses the classtime well. If you pay attention in class and do the homework ouitside of class, you should expect to do well. Also, she brings food and chocolate a lot to class so thats a major plus!

She's not too bad. Assigns an insane amount of hw, but you don't really need to do it anyway. Very nice personality-wise. Tests are a toss-up as to if they are hard or easy, depends on the chapter. I would say take her, but don't expect it to be your favorite class.
