He was alright. He really wants effort and, nothings ever perfect for him. Standard is way high. I don't recommed taking if it's for a requirement. I did not like his attitude it was his way or the highway. Would not take hime ever again.

He is a really nice professor. he is very helpful and he definitely cares a lot more than the Advisors. if you ever need help with something, this is the person you should go to for anything. I definitely recommend him. make sure to show up to class and do the easy homework assignments and it will be an easy A.

If you have an ego, you will hate Joe. If you're serious about growing as an artist however, he is your best choice for a Ceramics teacher. He's not afraid to tell you when something just isn't working, and will push you further than you thought you were capable of. I learned so much from his class and you can tell he truly cares about his students

hands down one of the best art professors i've had. Extremely helpful, doesnt put you down.. He understands we're all students so he really tries to help you in any way that he can. He's also a great advisor.Also really nice, and down to earth.

I've taken Sculpture, 2D design, and Ceramics with Joe. He is critical, hard to please, but not to a fault. He wants to push his students, get them out of their comfort zone if needed. He's a great, chill guy. Realistic and grounded, too. Good advisor. I still keep in touch, a year and a half after graduating. I know other who do, too.

joe is good, he does critisize a lot however he sticks to the importance of what the project stands for. he alwas says "in many respects" to put your work down but he knows what hes talking about most of the time. overall the class is worth taking.

The guy is a jerk, he has an ego. He's good at critizing your drawing and making you feel like you don't belong in his presense. He may be experienced yet isn't much help improving yourself, only that you can never please him. He makes the class harder then need be. Unless you want a harsh critic to build a thick skin he's your man.
