He is not good at explaining the examples well he is very textbook heavy even in a class where the class can not get the book due too the book store not having the book he thinks everything is funny and does not answer questions at all just laughs and makes a smart statement which isnt relevant to the question at all i would not recommend him ever

Took Mr. Casals for both 0306 and 0308, his class is very clear and he gives you everything you need to pass. Do the test reviews and you wont fail. Before I took his classes I hadn't taken a math class in over 5 years, made a 95 or above in both classes. Am taking him for 0310 and I am sad he doesn't teach 1314.

Although he is a nice professor, he is old fashion. He only gives book examples, he teaches as though you already know how to work the problem, he doesn't give multiple ways to solve the answer, and when it is test time he gives you problems that he didn't cover. When he answers a question, he will make a comment afterwards that is belittling.

Comment:

Professor Casals is passionate about math. You can tell he takes his subject very seriously. He gives lots of examples and explains things well. He doesn't give too much homework. He gives a practice test to take home which is extremely helpful. I enjoyed his class a lot and feel like I am very well prepared for my next math class.

He is not a good instructor. Avoid taking him AT ALL COST. I struggled with math and he made 0306 more complicated than what its suppose to be. If you don't understand or at point in time or get lost forget it. He's tough and throws in engineering principals as well that make even it harder. DONT TAKE HIM!!!

Taking this class now worst teacher ever he has not common sense and cant understand him. He cant hear when you answer him or acts like he cant hear you. He laughs the whole time your asking a question and makes you look stupid. He is so rude when it comes to you needing help with the math. He has no idea what to do when you ask help from homework

He treats the class like were stupid; yet he is the stupid one. He cannot long divide, he cannot catch his own mistakes(which happen everyday). If there is an alternative teacher, get them.. If your stuck with him, you will survive.. unless you cannot do simple math.

helpful. explains the problems well. just like any other college course you have to do the work, and teach yourself. you have to do your part.some people do not get math and have problems but if you try you will do good.
