Dr. H is a great person but a terrible professor. He consistently shows up 10-20 min late for 8AM lecture and brings his 2-yo to class regularly. He takes several weeks to grade exams (even scantrons), and he tests on material barely covered in class and/or on the study guide (HOWEVER he does host online chats before exams for questions).

Did not show up to class on time and often brought his daughter to. Would leave during the middle of class for "potty breaks" for his 3 year old daughter. Did not understand why we, as SLP and Audio majors, needed to know the information. Made us study a LOT of information and put barely any on tests, along with information we didn't even go over.

Hranitz was great. He was definitely not easy but would explain anything you needed help on. Very corny, he gives you notes for lecture but you DO need the lab book. You need to study at least a week in advance for his exams.

Okay professor. Tests are often on things you may have never even seen before. Paid a total of $200 for all of the class materials that he says you need. You do not need the book. I started to study a week and half before the exam and I still only received a high C. I fully understood the material in the lecture guide and still did not do too well.

SO DISORGANIZED!!! You need to remind him to do everything. Do not count on getting your grades for at least a week after you take a test. He is often confused on his tests, so check his grading to make sure it is correct. Take every quiz because the homework quiz's often have test answers.

At this moment, I'm studying for his final.. He gave me my review for the final that 4 a.m. and the final is in 24 hours... He waits until the last minute for EVERYTHING. He's an awful teacher, never in office hours, talks to you like you're a grad student, and teaches things that aren't even Bio.. worse course and teacher ever.

Dr. Hranitz is the worst teach I've had in my ENTIRE life. He's so unorganized, he uses terms that as I freshman, I don't understand, and he doesn't explain it either. He cancels office hours more times than he's in there, and he doesn't offer much help before tests. I'd suggest you DO NOT take him.

Dr. Hranitz is a good guy who has his mind on a lot of things at once. During lectures, he will go off on tangents for 10 minutes, which can put you to sleep, but they have helped me on some exams. The thing that would annoy me is that I would study his study guides religiously, and the material on the study guide would hardly ever be on the exams.

Dr. Hranitz is a good guy outside of class. During class he is terrible, his office is very disorganized. He hasn't cancelled call yet so far, but he is late almost everyday. His study guides have typos, and the practice exams don't match the test at all.

Terrible. Very unorganized and lazy. Test material does not match the study guides he provides. Also does not like to explain things , just throws notes at you and terminology.

Unorganized, unclear, and speaks in higher level science terminology so expect to google everything. I study all the time, take notes, re-listen to lectures, ask questions, go to office hours and get a B- Prepare to work hard for little return. I wouldn't take this class again if given the chance. Nice guy, terrible professor.

Just super frustrating. Dr. Hranitz speaks as though you are grad students with his terminology. He expects you to have a decent amount of A&P, chemistry, and general bio before taking the course. His tests are difficult to study for because usually all the information is tested. His explanations are complex and misleading. No book, uses articles..

Dr. H was more interested in his research than showing up for class on time, being at his scheduled office hours and even showing up on test days. Irrelevant information: he taught more of his interests than what should have been taught. Expected students to spend multiple hours every day studying for this class or he would "see you next spring."

Definitely a smart guy but has just about zero people skills. Brought his baby to office hours or didn't show up at all. This class is supposed to be hard and I get that, he just made it way harder than it needed to be.

I don't think he knows what's going on. He'll spell things wrong on the powerpoint but then tell you that spelling counts on your exams. Sometimes he puts lectures online, sometimes not. Either way he mumbles so bad I can hardly understand him. Not to mention the baby crying in the backgound on the online lectures. Unprofessional and disorganized.

Great guy. He was always willing to help, cracks corny jokes, and is always nice. Yes, the class requires quite a bit of work, but if you work hard enough you will be fine. For the lab exams, I would suggest to start studying about a week before in the lab.

This class was very hard but not impossible. I started studying for each exam at least 1 week ahead of time and for lab, printed out pictures of everything and labeled them. If you work hard and understand the material you will do well. It takes him forever to post grades though.

Dr H is a really nice guy. Yes his class is very difficult and requires a lot of time studying, but he is very helpful! He conducts online chat sessions the night prior to tests and answers questions. Questions on his exams are straightforward, and all answers can be found in lab and lecture guides. He explains things very clearly. GREAT professor!

This teacher is an okay man but the class is not the easiest. He is a funny man but he was not on his A game... He would say something would be posted before the weekend and you would wait two days after the weekend to see it. Like I said it was an okay class but be prepared to use the book because things he asks on a test are not taught

Terrible professor, Nice guy..Goes way to fast through material and makes it not understandable. Gives you study guides for exams and doesn't put any of the information on the exam. Turns a level 100 class into a 300level class. Luckily he curves or I never would pass
