A revolutionary professor and an inspirational mentor. I just learned of his passing, and I miss his presence at Cal and on this planet. I am forever grateful for his bravery, his wisdom, and his vision. I will strive to be more like him as a professor and a person.

I'm sorry to say this, but ED 193 is an absolute joke. I would not recommend taking this class. John is unclear about the direction of this class. Most of the time, we just sit in a circle and discuss nothing in absolute boredom. ED 190 is much better.

John is a fantastic teacher, Unfortunately for rate my professor, he doesn't teach in the traditional manner. He is a great facilitator and mentor. Take a class from him and learn to learn.

He's a wonderful man and teacher. He brings back the fun that was left out of education and he makes helping and giving back to the community enjoyable and admirable. I only wish that every person tha I encounter in life will be as wonderful and as kind as he is. Truely an inspiration for furture teachers and students
