As many other have stated.... he rambles on and on about matters NOT related to the topic. His examples are never clear... he doesn't ever seem prepared... seems to wing it most of the time. He knows his material, I just think he doesn't care about his job. I've had excellent intermediate teachers.... he was a huge disappointment.

He is sooooo boring!! I took him over the summer and he spends 34 of the lecture rambling about his life story. He constantly goes off topic. I always just sat there and wondered what in the world he was trying to say and how anything he said was relevant to the class. Got an A by teaching myself and reading the book 2 hours before the test.

He doesn't care about students, just wants to come and do a lecture or talk about one hour about unnecessary topics that doesn't relate to topics of the class or exams and then hurries to go home early. I havent learnt anything you have to everything by yourself, very quiet lectures, its like he is talking to himself! waster of time and money

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR! Do not take him. He did not go over any questions in class. Only lectured for a full 2 hours walking back and forth non stop. His exams were difficult! You basically have to teach yourself

Terrible professor and it is not worth going to class. His lectures make no sense, examples are not applicable and tests are difficult no matter how hard you study. He does not give solutions for problems and does not work may problems in class. Take it with someone else!!!! All other professors I got A's and B's him not so much....

This is a hard class because there is a lot of material. Tests are all MC and the final (least hard test) is not cumulative. Simms uses power point which is bad but he curves exams by about 20 points. READ THE BOOK. If you are struggling do not drop the class. The final is worth 40% and you can make an A on it to boost your grade.

Very friendly and willing to help students out. He does tend to veer off course, but in-class examples and problems posted on Blackboard are the focus of his exams. Read the chapters for key terms, and the class will be an easy A. 3 exams of equal weight, all MC, non-cumulative final.

Had him for AIS and Management Accounting. Terrible teacher. Very easy exams. Study the book and you won't even need to go to class. Goes off on these horrible tangents, which was awful at 8:30 pm!!!

I had Simms for intermediate I and AIS. His tests are easy in AIS. He lectures are straight from the book and he even gives out notes that are so comprehensive, you don't have to read the book if you don't want to. He's a nice guy, don't know why students have such awful things to say about him!

I have him for both AIS and Management Accounting. It's only the beginning of the spr semester and we haven't had our first test, so I can't attest to how hard the exams are. However, he's very up front about being a strict grader. Lectures are AWFUL. No structure and too many off-topic tangents.

Had him for cost accounting and all he ever talked about was Enron, and it didnt pertain to this class. He didnt explain concepts at all and didn't work many problems. It was pointless to go to his class. Just teach yourself, you would be better off!

Easy, Laid Back. I took him for acct2331 acct2332 and acct3337. He curves very generously.
