Lectures are interesting but doesn't post full lectures so going to class is a must. Information is pretty straightforward and easily memorized. Tests are comprehensive and detailed but no where near difficult. Great teacher.

I absolutly loved this class!! Very well educated and credible as he has worked on cases himself. 3 exams, 2 quizes and a handful of smaller grades to help you out. As long as you show up to class and actually take notes, you will pass this class.

This class was a breeze, idk why the ratings are "hard". Show up to EVERY class and take super good notes. If the dude talks, just write down what he says. He hints at alot of things that will be on tests. You NEED to give yourself time to study. Multiple choice, short answer tests that require detail. If your memorization is not trash then u good

The key to getting a good grade in this class is to show up to every lecture (and I mean every single one), and to take really good notes; he will ask you about anything and everything. Majority of your grade comes from exams but there are some 'fluff' assignments to help your grade. He is very accessible/helpful if you ever have any questions.

Dr. Schultz is a great teacher. This class is hard - but he is very clear with his requirements for the exams and WANTS to help you pass. You need to study. Go to him if you are struggling, he loves to talk to students and appreciates feedback. He himself is a Forensic Anthropologist for Orange County, and he knows what he's talking about.

You 100% have to be at every single class because he only posts part of his lectures online and so much of the exams are what he says outside of the lecture. You also need to study for the exams because they are super detail-oriented fill in the blink, short response, and multiple choice. He is a really interesting teacher and I enjoyed the class!

There should have been a prerequisite for this class. He doesn't give any homework, and we didn't need the textbook. The tests cover a lot of information, too much information even though he took out a lot of information because of Hurrican Irma. I had to put most of my focus into studying for this class just to pass. He is a nice guy though.

This was hands down my favorite class ever taken. I only wish I'd discovered it and Dr. Schultz sooner! Lectures are amazing. What you'll be tested on is very clear. It's a LOT of technical info & you need to study very hard for an A. Exams are tough; know the info inside and out. Textbook is helpful in open-book Labs. Can't wait for Osteology!!!!!

4 test, too much material for them.. over 100 questions on each. memorization is what he makes you do... quiz is hard. if you learn by doing things he is the worst for it.. you could spend hours studying and regardless the test would ask you everything possible from the notes and what ever he mentioned in class... def not taking him

Tests are very detailed and full of a lot of information. Also they are fill in the blank/ short answer so you really need to know the material. Everything he tests on is based on his lectures which he doesn't post online so you absolutely need to attend every class or have a good notes buddy. The class itself is very interesting but very difficult

This was my favorite class at UCF. Dr. Schultz is an amazing professor who knows his stuff. He's very funny and he makes class interesting but the material is already interesting in itself. Attendance isn't mandatory but his tests are based off of his lectures so if you want to pass, go to class. I highly recommend him!

Took forensic anthro over the summer. Schultz is actually pretty funny and has a lot of interesting stories. He loves people who participate in discussion! Pay attention and speak up in class and study, and you should do well. His tests are tough, but it is a 4000 level class.

Schultz is the best! My favourite teacher so far at TCC. He is kind, considerate, always answers questions, and really cares about his students. His class is a lot of work, with readings of plays as well as literature and lecture quizzes that he always announces ahead of time. As long as you study and do all the work, you'll pass and have a blast!

I took multiple classes with him. He is an amazing professor if you show interest and willing to learn. He has no time for lazy people and people looking to coast through. Make sure you speak to him, introduce yourself, stand out and you will do well. Can be sarcastic but take what he says with a grain of salt and youll do fine. He really does care

Very tough but 100% enjoyable. I loved attending class. He made everything interesting and made sure you were understanding the material. Assignments were pretty easy, but not worth much, but the tests were killer. Study hard and you can do really well, but don't slack off for a second or you'll fall behind pretty quick.

This was the best class I've taken at UCF so far, and I'm a Bio major. He knows so much on the subject and has so many interesting stories. He also is a true master at the subject. Tests were fair, not too difficult if you study thoroughly. He adds other assignments to pad your grade, which I love since most prof. don't do that. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

Great teacher. Well-paced lectures with plenty of time to answer questions and let you write everything down. Attendance is not required, however, all test material is covered in lectures and assignments are turned in during class.

I've taken three classes with Dr. Schultz and found them interesting and informative. If your field is forensics, he will provide a solid foundation. You do need to study, early and often, but an A is very doable. As for favoring male students, I'm a female and never felt slighted. Don't forget office hours if you need additional help.
