Take drawing as research with professor Jordan. An amazing human being. I know it's a long class but it is so worth it and if you pay attention you will really get something out of it. Projects are clear and fun to do. Love this man

This man is an absolute genius, he can talk for 5 hours straight and I will be invested the whole time. It is a tough class and he will make you work, but it might change your god damn life.

I loved his course. Jordan is the best professor I have taken through MSU's art program. He teaches you in a way that forces you to think outside the box. He knows everybody's name and cares about you as an individual. Every class discussion is relevant no matter the topic. I absolutely urge you to take one of Josh's classes before you graduate.

The class I took was new. ARFD102 Drawing as Research. Waste of time. Easy assignments but they dragged on for weeks. Nice guy but this course needs to be removed. 5 hour class of lecturing about things I already knew. Easy A if youre willing to sit through a boring lecture every week.

This is someone that I feel really cares about his students. He really is a wonderful guy and he is absolutely right when he says his class is the most important class you'll ever take. His wisdom and philosophy is beautiful and can be applied to any aspect of your life. His knowledge will help you no matter what your major is. Take him!

Josh is a great guy. He's so lively for 8:30 in the morning but it's a good boost to wake you up. Talks a lot, but everything he says is pretty vital. He quotes that his class is the most important class you'll ever take, and he's right. Makes you really think about your projects, gives great feedback, and is easy to talk to.

Excellent professor. I currently still have him, but couldn't resist to write about this guy. I have him for Foundation 1 from 5:30 to 10pm. Hopefully you'll get the morning class. I am able to relate a lot to him because of the director/artist David Lynch, who is known for movies like Eraserhead and Blue Velvet. He talks A LOT, but very useful!

I took his morning class 8:30-1:10 and he will keep you there the full time and will still be talking as you walk out. You will think you are in a dream the entire time. He talks so much but can be funny a lot. Projects REALLY make you think and he likes creative things. Awesome guy the class is just too long and too much of his voice for 5 hours

In the beginning of the semester I thought it was going to be boring because all he did was talk so much, but by the end it all clicked. He is very insightful and helpful towards your passions. I felt like it was the best class I've ever taken, because I learned a lot and gained a wonderful experience in the end. I recommend you take him!

We had a very tough class (you can tell from the beginning that there would be a mutual awkwardness), however toward the very end, I found myself appreciating, and exploring more than I ever did. I guess you can say he taught me how to impress people, and in the long run how to impress myself.

BEST CLASS. Take this. Josh is the best teacher I have ever had and ever will have. He's a hilarious guy, curses and is very down to earth/relateable but also wise. A lot of listening to him talk but I loved every second of it. EVERYONE should take this class! Engaging/interesting. Reaffirmed my love for art and inspired me in so many ways.

Josh is a pretty incredible person. His class is very fun and informative; he really should be a motivational speaker. He could get off topic and ramble at times, but he really just wants everybody to absorb what he is trying to teach. Do your work on time and go to class and you'll get along with Josh just fine.
